KingDo Restaurant is a Vietnamese restaurant at 1154-1156 Dorchester Ave in Dorchester, MA 02125. It serves Vietnamese comfort food, with options that customers describe as generous, varied, and affordable. Whether you are looking for a familiar noodle soup, a quick bánh mì, or a meal with a drink, KingDo offers several ways to enjoy Vietnamese flavors in one stop. The restaurant has a 4.2-star rating from 227 reviews, reflecting a broad range of customer experiences. Its location on Dorchester Avenue makes it a neighborhood option for people seeking Vietnamese food in Dorchester and nearby parts of Boston.

Customer favorites span sandwiches, soups, rice plates, snacks, and drinks. Reviews call out a notably large bánh mì and bánh xèo, along with phở, grilled pork chop plates, and bún riêu. Egg rolls are another popular pick, and the menu is described as offering a wide variety of choices. A hot food station is also mentioned by a customer, giving diners another format to explore alongside made-to-order dishes. For anyone deciding what to try, these guest recommendations offer a practical starting point, while the range of choices can suit different appetites and preferences.

Drinks are part of the appeal, too. Reviewers mention pennywort drink, mung bean milk, an avocado smoothie praised for its balance of avocado and milk, and Vietnamese coffee that one guest found a little sweet but still delicious. These details suggest options for customers who want a refreshing accompaniment or a sweet finish to their meal. The food is repeatedly described as good value, with substantial portions highlighted in particular. As with any restaurant, individual tastes can differ; one reviewer, for example, did not enjoy a tofu vegetable spring roll. Reading the menu and choosing what sounds right for you is part of the experience.

Recent customer comments describe KingDo’s newer location as larger, cleaner, and more airy than before. That expanded space may make it a comfortable choice for a casual meal, a quick food stop, or a weekend breakfast. One especially useful detail for early risers is the opening time: KingDo is listed as open every day from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and a reviewer values finding a Vietnamese restaurant open early around Boston. For breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner, KingDo Restaurant brings a broad selection of Vietnamese favorites to Dorchester, Massachusetts, with generous dishes and an approachable neighborhood feel.

New location, bigger space. The coffee was a little on the sweet side but still delicious. The banh mi was HUGE and so was the banh xeo and they were sooooo good, bang for your buck type of thing. 🫡

King Do has recently moved to a new location, and the space is now much larger, cleaner, and more airy. The menu still offers a wide variety of options, and the food remains just as delicious and affordable as before. The highlights for me are definitely the pennywort drink and the mung bean milk—both are refreshing and a must-try.

Really hard to find an Asian restaurant open this early for breakfast around Boston. This place opens at 5 a.m. daily, and I’ve stopped by a couple of times on weekends for hangover meals. They offer a standard menu with items like pho and grilled pork chop plates, but there’s also a hot food station where you can choose from various veggies and proteins. Everything is fully set up by 5 a.m., so I’m not sure how much is cooked fresh that morning. Still, since most items are either sautéed or sitting in broth, nothing tasted off. There are no dish descriptions though, and with limited English from the owners, it was tough to identify what some of the items are. A few were obvious like the pork knuckles and spare ribs, but others were hard to figure out. The spare ribs were my favorite so far, and for around $12, you get a generous portion with rice and soup. Wouldn’t necessarily come here during regular meal hours, but as an early-morning option for a hearty Asian breakfast, it’s worth keeping in mind.

Ordered a vegetable spring roll with tofu and the person I got it for said it tastes rubbery and not to her liking. Like it wasn’t cooked 🤢 I asked management if I could return it and bring what wasn’t eaten as proof, and they can re-make …

My new favorite place for Vietnamese comfort food! They sell everything from banh mi to noodle soups for an extremely affordable price. They have some of the best egg rolls (2/$3) and bun rieu 🥹 Honorable mention for their avocado smoothie, love the balance of avocado to milk.
