Sign in to reviewPleased with the amount of choice and price point of many of the goods in this store. The Japanese sweets were actually on sale, and I picked up my share. The variety of seaweed was impressive, and I picked up a few of the Korean variety. The amount of produce was also impressive, and there was a good balance of western and eastern varieties. The staff was a bit flat with their customer service, and the store itself is in a very volatile neighborhood, and all shoppers are warned not to leave anything in their car. There is a security guard on duty, so it’s relatively safe, but I would still be sure to follow the rules about not leaving anything of value in your car while shopping, especially late in the day.
Love this place! Been going here for years! They really have a great selection of choices of Korean and Asian foods. I love the fresh pastries and breads here. Really great selection of prime cuts of meats. They have one of the best selections of candies and snacks I've ever found. I always end up buying more then I need and always find something new to try. They also have a great selection of produce.
Its such a joy for me to come here every time. KP market is the place that I go to if I want to pick up any Korean produce. Their weekly specials for fruits are just amazingly priced and fresh. I highly recommend their grab-and-go bibimbap. Theres always 2 or 3 friendly security guards around to watch the inside and parking lot area and I really appreciate that. Parking gets a little crowded at times but there's more parking on the side if needed and people are always coming and going so there should be one bound to be open for you. Of course, the main store has a lot of produce, but if you are looking for kitchenware/houseware or cosmetics then walk over to their side store which is a few steps away from the main in a smaller building.
Exactly what others said… some cashiers are incredibly rude. I tried to pay with my Apple Pay but it wasn’t going through so I was going to tap my card instead. The man working the register began shouting at me and wouldn’t allow me to tap my card, then grabbed my reusable shopping bag with the bagged groceries out of my child’s hands. I calmly asked if I could tap my card and he put his hand over the tap screen and shouted NO three times at me, as if I had done something wrong. After more shouting from him, I quietly unloaded my groceries from the bag (after he then tried to pull my bag out of my hands) and left because I’m not paying anyone to treat me like a criminal. I checked my card after I left and it was only Apple Pay that wasn’t working correctly, not the card. If he had allowed me to tap the screen everything would’ve been resolved but he had zero patience. I would’ve given them one star only but for good selection I’ll give them two. Too bad I didn’t get to bring anything home. Abhorrent service!
Store had good selection of products (e.g., mostly Korean, but also Japanese, Chinese). Aisles were well organized and tidy. Produce looked freah and in good condition. Includes a bakery with 50% discount for day old items and store has some fresh items in fridge sections (locally packaged food items like kimchee). Probably avoid American products. Several American canned goods labels were sun faded like they're been on the shelves for decades without checking expiration date.
