I did the ashiatsu massage with Stephanie and had an amazing experience! Booking online was simple and quick. I got a confirmation text instantly. The office is located in a cool old Victorian house in Golden Hill. Plan some extra time for parking as it's a little limited. The suite is on the very top floor up a few flights of stairs, you can't miss it. The space was clean and calming, with clean linens and nice air conditioning. The massage had a great combination of deep tissue, more relaxing movements, and stretching. Stephanie was able to focus on some of my problem areas with great results. I highly recommend Kuba Uchi and I will definitely be back.

I moved to San Diego a little over a year ago. When I found a chiropractor and asked who she would recommend for a massage she said Tina at SomaSense Bodywork was the only person that she would be recommending to anyone who asks. I went to Tina and I was not surprised that my chiropractor would choose her. Not only is Tina a remarkably talented massage therapist but she has constructed her place upstairs in a most inviting historic-looking house. Love the atmosphere as well as the incredible massages. I also saw 2 other therapists there and I highly recommend them as well.

I booked a massage with Kaitlin at Kuba Uchi because I needed immediate relief from a very tight and knotted shoulder. I was able to easily book with her and I’ve got to say she did a great job! I’ve had issues with a spot under my shoulder blade for years and she loosened my extremely tight knot. I could barely turn my head before I got there, and by the time I left, I could hardly notice the tightness. If you need a deep tissue massage, she’s the one to do it. The room is in a neat house in Golden Hill. She’s very strong and a definitely knew what she was doing. I don’t get massages very often due to my chaotic schedule but I’m glad I was able to find her. I will definitely book her again and I have recommended her to several people that needed a massage. Book with her, you won’t be disappointed.

Tina is the best massage therapist ever! She is extremely versatile and moves seamlessly among different body work techniques, all according to what your body needs that day She is very professional and is adept at keeping the parts of your body she is not working on draped and private. The SomaSense studio is invitingly decorated and her choice of background music is soothing, spa-like and never too loud. I highly recommend you give her a try.
