Sign in to reviewHorrible service. The man doing my nails was so rude when I would ask him to fix small details (having the polish go all the way to the side of my nail bed, which he still did not do) and I still ended up with a sloppy manicure. On top of the poor service, the furniture was stained and there were flies inside. Never returning.
I’ve gotten a gel mani and/or pedi here a few times now. My most recent gel mani was the second time my gel polish hasn’t lasted as long as it should’ve, and this experience was poor enough to not go back. I arrived as a walk-in on Wednesday, and Kevin did my gel manicure. It was very rushed and he was done within 30-35 minutes. My thumb nail chipped the next day. I went back, and Kevin kindly fixed it which I greatly appreciated. He did, however, insinuate that it was my fault for “hitting something”. Regardless, gel polish should not chip within a day. Well, on Saturday, 3 days later, two nails lifted and completely peeled off. That is indicative of poor nail prep and a rushed job. I decided to go to a different salon to have them fix it, and I will not be going back to Lavish.
I am so disappointed in the service after being a loyal customer for a year and have recommended many friends here because I love Jenny’s work but on the one day I had a bad car accident and called right away to let them know I was running late to please extend the courtesy of letting me keep my appointments I will shorten the service they denied me to my face at the door when I pleased them that I just needed gel removal. It was so unkind and humiliating. No matter how good someone is at nails all people should be treated fairly and not just a number. I still had 30 mins of my appt when I arrived and they turned me away. Horrible customer service and horrible team culture. Won’t ever be back
This place was such a good find. I got the lavish signature pedicure which was $35. It took around an hour including waiting for my polish to dry. They took their time on my pedicure and it was awesome. It also included a 10 minute foot and calf massage which felt great. The technicians we're very sweet and I just walked in for an appointment. The place is also very clean as well. The only thing I wish they had was SNS polish, but they do have gel and acrylic.
This review is for a recent gel pedicure I got. I did my own gel manicure and wanted toes to match. $45 gel pedicure + $10 callus removal. I really wanted to support a local place next to home. However, this place is overpriced, unsanitary, and mediocre because they cut corners. Chairs are old and dirty and by no means are "lavish." I got my pedicure done by Kevin. My old gel polish was removed using only e-file. He used a USED SANDING BAND to file down my nail!!! Disgusting! These bands are cheap to replace and cannot be disinfected. He asked me if I wanted him to scrub my calluses without telling me it was an extra $10 charge. I should've asked, I know now (I rarely go to nail salons so my bad). However, he barely did anything other than apply some gel on my feet and let it sit for a few minutes. There was barely any callus scrubbing beyond a very brief pedicure scrub. The paint job and cutical clean-up was subpar- look at my pictures. Unclean lines, polish touching skin, polish not covering all of nail bed, etc. He didn't spend time cleaning up his lines with a brush. Finally, the salon markets a 10 min massage as part of the pedicure package. I got no more than 2 min total. My tech rushed the service and did extremely mediocre work. I've had much better service and pedicures at other salons for 2/3 the price. I could look past the lack of massage, but the paint job is so shoddy, I won't be returning (at least not to him).
