Leung Noodle is a compact Vietnamese restaurant on Silver Creek Road in San Jose, California, serving diners at 3005 Silver Creek Rd Ste 130. The restaurant is especially associated with hu tieu Nam Vang, a noodle specialty that regulars and first-time visitors repeatedly mention in their feedback. For people searching for Vietnamese noodles in San Jose, CA, it offers a focused stop where the appeal is clear: familiar noodle dishes, distinct sauce-and-broth choices, and flavors that customers describe as tasty and well balanced. Its 4-star rating from 77 reviews gives prospective guests a useful snapshot of a place with both repeat customers and detailed diner feedback.
One of the most discussed choices is the hu tieu Nam Vang, listed as item number one and described by a reviewer as the restaurant's signature dish. It can be ordered with soup, with broth poured over the noodles, or with the soup set aside in a small bowl for diners who prefer to combine each bite themselves. Customers also call out Nam Vang Kho Mi and its special sauce as a comforting, consistently satisfying order. Egg noodles earn a favorable mention as well. These details make Leung Noodle a practical choice for guests who know the Nam Vang style or want to explore the contrast between a dry-style noodle plate and a soup-forward bowl.
Expect a small dining room that can be busy, particularly around peak meal times. One group of 11 was accommodated at noon, though the restaurant was already packed, while another customer noted longer waits during busy periods. Planning a little extra time can make the visit more relaxed, especially for larger parties or anyone dining during the lunch rush. Reviews praise the food's flavor and the balance of sauce and soup, but they also offer useful perspective: some diners find portions modest for the price, and one feedback item was less enthusiastic about the fried shrimp dumplings. This range of comments helps set clear expectations before ordering.
Leung Noodle suits San Jose diners looking for a Vietnamese noodle meal, regulars seeking a dependable Nam Vang Kho Mi order, and groups willing to time their visit around a lively room. It is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, making it an option for lunch or an early evening meal throughout the week. Whether you choose the set-aside soup format or broth-over-noodles version, the restaurant's strength in customer comments is the recognizable Nam Vang flavor profile and the special sauce that brings regulars back. For a Vietnamese restaurant in San Jose, CA centered on noodle-focused comfort food, Leung Noodle is worth considering with portions and peak-time waits in mind.

Sign in to reviewThis place is small but they were able to fit my party of 11 @12pm. We got lucky because this place was packed. Everything was delicious!
Very tasty hu-tieu Nam-vang, item number one on the menu. It is the restaurant signature dish served with two options "set-aside soup" or "with soup". For the prior option, soup is placed in a small bowl whereas the other option, soup is poured over the dish. The wait time is long during peak hours of lunch or dinner.
Shout out to this place for making a real "Nam Vang" style noodles. The flavor of the sauce and the soup are just right. The service size is quite small while comparing with the price and other places i have been but still OK. I don't quite like their fried shrimp dumpling because they use too much fish cake paste with it so it nothing like the real fried shrimp dumping should be. It's good in overall and will be back soon.
Bowl was small and I was left hungry. The #2 dac biet dry $16.25 is the same as #1 but with an extra bone. There weren't a lot of meat on the bones. It is pointless to get an extra bone. The egg noodles tasted fine and that was the best part of this bowl. The other stuff were boiled and needed the sweet soy sauce on the table to taste good. Service was weak. No water refills and the restaurant was not busy.
This is one of regular spots I go to weekly. The Nam Vang Kho Mi with their special sauce is such comfort and delight to the palate. And it is the same each time, key for comfort as a result of consistency. I know it may not be a traditional or original Vietnamese dish (as I have been informed) but I do not care. It is good and you should try it. Just one recommendation to the owner: please stop serving water in 'Solo' plastic picnic cups. :)
