The 70/30 Quilters Dream Blend batting bolt I received was of a much inferior quality than what I receive from my usual batting supplier. My usual supplier doesn't sell bolts, and I go through it so fast, I thought I'd bite the bullet and spring for a bolt from Linda's. It came pretty fast, but when I opened the package it was obliviously quite different. It is more beige, much thinner, and wrinkly. It seems like it will be quite stretchy and difficult to work with. I will not be able to use it. I reached out the customer support to ask about returning it, and they informed me they could not accept it because the package was open. This is a bolt.... The "packaging" is plastic wrap taped around it and a printed 8.5*11 piece of paper for the label. I read the description several times before ordering. The description matched my normal supplier's word for word and yet the quality is so different. There should be a return policy for bolts as they are quite expensive and do not have the printed packaging that precuts do. The top roll in the photos I've included is my usual 70/30 Quilters Dream Blend batting and bottom is the bolt I received from Linda's. Visually they are quite different, but in person the difference in quality is even more drastically apparent.
I always buy Hobb's 80/20 Cotton/Poly 96" wide by 30 yard rolla from Linda's Electric Quilters for my queen size quilts. Linda's Electric Quilters has the best price, consistent quality, and conveniently ships directly to my studio.
I love ordering from Linda's. They always have what I'm looking for and the discounts are great. Their prices are usually extremely competitive. I chose to order online today rather than driving over an hour to a shop that carries what I needed and has in stock. The price difference was 7 bucks more than buying locally, even with shipping...and I spend less (because browsing in a store I would have bought more of what I didn't need). I bought exactly what I needed for my current project.
