Little Smiles of Hayward- Dr. Sojeong Kim and Dr. Ha Thai

I thought I prepared my 3 year old… we read books about the dentist, watched videos about the dentist, even played with a “dentist kit” from Melissa & Doug but that did not prevent her from screaming and crying the entire time the doctor and nurse were doing the cleaning. They both took it in stride as if the ear piercing shrieks of my child didn’t affect them. Meanwhile, my toddler asked me today if she could go back to the dentist again because “it tickled, it didn’t hurt” so clearly she wasn’t traumatized by yesterday’s visit. Thank you Little Smiles Team! Finger’s crossed that our next visit in 6 months will be at a more normal decibel level.

Both of my kids (ages 4 and 2) have been going to Little Smiles or Hayward since they were 6 months old, and we absolutely love it here. We have always had positive interactions with the front office, who are extremely kind and accommodating. The dental hygienists are so patient and amazing with children. They always make sure my kids feel comfortable and safe. My kids love the TVs on the ceiling that play their favorite shows, the ability to choose a flavored toothpaste, and their special prize at the end of the visit! Both Dr. Kim and Dr. Thai are truly experts at what they do and they provide the best care. We look forward to seeing them for many years to come!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Little Smiles of Hayward. From the moment we walked in, the entire team was incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The front office staff made check-in seamless and stress-free, and the energy in the office is upbeat and kid-friendly. The dentist was fantastic — patient, gentle, and great at explaining everything in a way my 6-year-old could understand. What really stood out was how comfortable they made my child feel. There was no fear, no anxiety — just smiles and confidence. That says everything. It’s clear this team truly cares about kids and goes above and beyond to create a positive experience. I’m so grateful to have found a pediatric dental office that makes dental visits something my child doesn’t dread. Only recommendation is the office decor- could use some updating to make it more kid-friendly. But the service and experience make up for it! Highly recommend — a true 5-star experience!

Our first experience at Little Smiles was exceptional. The staff was incredibly gentle and reassuring with both of my children, creating a calm environment from the start. I was especially impressed when I called on a Sunday regarding a dental emergency (despite the office being closed) I received a return call within 15 minutes. They scheduled an emergency appointment for the very next day and went above and beyond to ensure my son felt comfortable and safe throughout the procedure. They addressed all of our questions with care, ensuring he never felt overwhelmed or scared. We are so grateful for their professionalism and compassion. I highly recommend them.
