Piedmont Pediatric Dentistry is a pediatric dentist located at 1333 Grand Ave Ste 1 in Piedmont, CA. The practice serves families looking for child-focused dental care in Piedmont and nearby East Bay communities. Its Grand Avenue office offers a local setting for children at different stages, from early dental appointments through the teen years. For parents, the focus is practical: ongoing preventive care, attentive communication, and guidance that can grow with a child. Families can use the address and weekday hours to plan visits around school and work schedules within their routines.
Dr. Negron is a recurring reason families mention the practice. Several reviewers describe a dentist who is warm, kind, and personable with children as well as parents. Their accounts include patients who started at about 18 months or two years old and continued returning for many years, including into the later teen period. That continuity matters for families who value a provider who gets to know a child over time rather than treating each appointment as an isolated visit. Reviews also note his tact when helping children and parents navigate dental care.
Preventive education is another clear theme in the feedback. Parents say Dr. Negron teaches children about proper dental hygiene, helping daily habits become part of their care. One long-time reviewer recalls a recommendation for sealants when molars came in and reports that the added chewing surface helped avoid cavities. That experience is individual, not a guarantee, but it shows why families can ask thoughtful questions about preventive options, hygiene instruction, and care decisions during a visit. Routine pediatric preventive visits and cleanings are also specifically referenced in patient feedback.
The atmosphere described in reviews is welcoming and relationship-oriented. Families mention friendly staff, a team that has been consistent through the years, and a dentist who remembers and engages with young patients. These details can be meaningful for toddlers, school-age children, and teens who may feel uncertain about dental visits. Parents also describe feeling confident in the treatment directions and oral-hygiene guidance they receive. The result is a care setting shaped by familiar faces and clear, child-centered conversation. It is suited to households seeking ongoing pediatric dental relationships close by.
Piedmont Pediatric Dentistry is open Monday through Friday from 8:10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is closed Saturday and Sunday. It has a 4.3 rating based on 31 reviews in the supplied listing. Alongside many positive comments about care and staff, one reviewer reported unexpected out-of-pocket costs for a preventive visit. Before an appointment, it is sensible to confirm insurance coverage, request a written estimate, and ask what charges may be your responsibility. This step can help parents make an informed plan for their child's dental care.

Sign in to reviewDr. Negron is a gem in the Grand Ave. neighborhood in Oakland … my son has been his patient sine he was two years old and this coming fall he’s going to college. We will miss him and hope to still see him when he comes visit Oakland from NYU. We LOVE Dr. Negron for his tact with kids and parents as well.
My daughter just turned 18 and saw Dr. Negron for 15 years. He is a very personable dentist who engages to make your child feel welcome and remembered. He suggested sealants when her molars came in and this greatly increased her chewing surface and eliminated cavities. Dr Negron’s staff is very friendly and capable of supporting toddlers up to teens. We will miss Dr. Negron.
We had unexpected out-of-pocket charges for what we understood to be routine pediatric preventive visits/cleanings for our 1-year-old. I would recommend confirming insurance coverage and obtaining detailed cost estimates in writing beforehand, as our final responsibility ended up being different from what we expected. We ultimately switched to another pediatric dentist and have not had similar billing issues since.
My girls have been seeing Dr. Negron since their very first dental exam and they are now 11 and 13. He is so warm and caring and clearly so passionate about good dental hygiene. His team has all been fantastic through the years and we feel very confident in his treatment and directions.
I have been taking my kids to Dr. Negron since they each turned 18 months. Now they are 8, 12, and 13 and we still go to Dr Negron for our teeth care. Dr. Negron is kind and knows how to work with toddlers and older kids. He teaches them proper heigene and has his office set up so kids who are squeamish can watch a show while he works. I enjoy chatting with him afterwards and how he remembers things about my family. We plan to continue going to Dr Negron as he is very knowledgeable and great.
