I’ve been going to Love & Mercy Salon for years after following my amazing hairstylist, Ali Lydon, there. The salon itself is beautiful, with lots of natural light, and it’s surprisingly easy to find parking in the city. Ali is incredible, and I truly can’t recommend her enough. While she’s known for her vibrant color work, I’ve been seeing her for years for blonde color and highlights. I love that she always takes the time to talk through exactly what I’m envisioning, whether I want to go lighter or darker, and then blends everything seamlessly so it looks completely natural. I struggled for years to find someone in Boston who could do beautiful blonde highlights and balayage, and Ali is by far the best I’ve found. I would follow her anywhere to keep working with her (she’s also a great person!). I can’t recommend Ali or Love & Mercy more highly!

I was in Boston for a conference and realized I had a couple hours free between the end of my conference and my train home, and I was so lucky to be able to book a next-day appointment for a cut with Charlotte! It had been about a year since my previous haircut and I didn’t have a strong vision of what I wanted so I was a bit nervous. Charlotte reached out by text immediately after I scheduled to confirm that she would be a good fit as my stylist. The next day she was warm and welcoming, asked questions so that she was sure that my cut would fit my lifestyle (I often just let it air dry and need to be able to put it up), and just made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole appointment. I cannot remember the last time my hair looked this good! It was just a cut but it legitimately looks healthier and like I got highlights as well. Honestly it may be worth it to just travel back to Boston the next time I need a cut! Cannot recommend LOM highly enough.
Such a great experience! The salon is open, airy, and welcoming. I went in for a haircut with Alyssa, and she was amazing. She really listened to what I wanted, took her time, and gave me a thorough wash and blow-dry. The results came out beautifully. I’ll definitely be back to see her and highly recommend her!
