The food is good and sometimes it's a smaller portion than normal. Today it was one of those days when it was a smaller portion but everything was very flavorful service was amazing and location is perfect because it is close to my job. We normally come during lunch hour but today I came a little bit after lunch when it was empty so they gave me opportunity to sit in around it and I got my favorite waiter all to myself. I got the house special fried rice cuz I have everything I like in it. You should come by and check it out if you're running downtown and then search for some great food and mixed drinks

I have been coming here for almost 30 years. Amazing food and ok service. They won’t hover on you but if asked they will explain the menu and services. I’m busy times, it might be a bit hard to get their attention. But all good. Food is worth it. Plenty of easy parking.

Mai’s is a classic Houston staple for a reason. The food is consistently flavorful, portions are generous, and the menu offers a great mix of traditional Vietnamese dishes and crowd-pleasers. The vibe is casual and the space is clean. Service was attentive. It’s a great place for both first-timers to Vietnamese cuisine and longtime fans. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Midtown and craving a solid, comforting meal.
