The food was good. It didn't blow my mind like some other high end restaurants I've been to, but it was solidly good and interesting. Worth $230 for 2, with no drinks or alcohol? That's pretty debatable. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, but the pacing felt rushed, like the priority was to get us done and out. Dishes came before we'd even finished the last course, and the waiter pushing dessert when we still had half our main on the table and my wife was mid-bite felt a little pushy compared to the price of the meal. Don't think I'd rush back.

One of my favorite spots in downtown la. It is Chef David Chang after all. Actually like it way better than momofuku. The short rib is phenomenal so make sure to pre order it one day before your reservation. Bing bread got a little thicker and all the spreads are amazing. We always order multiple and get extra Bing pieces. Just dont fill up on it. Boiled chicken is great! We just happened to have a lot of rice this evening with the crispy mushroom rice, the duck fat rice with boiled chicken and then the short rib fried rice. Our server this time added 2 bottles of wine to our bill and I had to go back to get it taken off and redone. Service was super slow outside. I usually sit inside but we had a large party on a friday night.

First timer here, half the dishes were a hit and half weren’t for me personally. The tuna carpaccio was very good. Their bing bread is some of the best bread I’ve ever had; I enjoyed it with their eggplant & pine nut gremolata. I would come back just for that heavenly bread-dip combo. The little gem salad & stuffed peppers were a little disappointing; the roe made the salad taste a little salty but the crunchy addition was definitely good compliment. The stuffed peppers are shishito peppers and were perfectly fried, but there was barely any sausage inside. The Iberico pork was smoky and flavorful. The crispy mushroom rice was a little bland but the differences in texture made it a unique dish. I’d like to come back with a group to try their bossam and short-rib plate sometime and definitely double down on the bing bread.

Surprise pick by the husband and he nailed it. We preordered the whole plate short rib and it was worth every penny fall off the bone, melts in your mouth and tasty with great condiments. Plenty of food for two people we definitely took some home. We also had the bing bun basket and that was a highlight the sides were so unique and delicious with the fluffy yummy bread. We ended with honey pie and even that was solid and great end to a delicious meal. The servers were very friendly and the inside of the restaurant is quite nice. Highly recommend this place.

Had a lovely evening before seeing a show at Disney Concert Hall which is a quick 7 minutes away. Our server was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The menu was a 10 with lots of vegetarian options as well as some great meat choices. The menu was inventive, elevated but not stuffy. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was handled like a well organized team. From A-Z it was a great experience!
