Sign in to reviewI had the Pork Bánh Mì and its actually pretty good. Their bread is fresh and not too crunchy (I like the crunch but some places make theirs hard as a rock!). The owner Calvin was there at that time and he even explained and elaborated some of the sandwiches for me which was awesome. The coffee is legit Vietnamese coffee too. I’d say slightly better than Lee’s. I’m happy to support local businesses with great offerings. Great food, clean and organised restaurant atmosphere and helpful staff. Definitely coming back!
Delicious sandwiches, huge portions. Refreshing drinks, pleasant atmosphere. Staff was very friendly. I only speak English and they were patient helping me place my order.
Inside the restaurant was nice, but the male host seemed very unhappy and not very friendly. However, the middle age lady who served the food was nice and friendly. The food was average. We ordered the shrimp cakes, spring rolls and noodles with boiled pork, sausage and fish cake. They were an so so, not too bad. The tea was good. After we finished our meal, we decided to order 3 sandwiches for our kids. The male host didn't seem willing to accommodate our choices of sandwiches that we wanted to order. So we decided to just order no. 2 and 11. The sandwiches are ok. The weird thing was that he cut our sandwiches into half without asking us. I have never experienced this kind of action by any Vietnamese sandwiches place that I had been in. We only found out when we got home. We probably won't go back there again. I wish for the male host to be happy or to have a job where he can show a little of smile.
All the food look good but they are mostly roo cold when served. Bánh khọt and cà phê muối are excellent choice here.
This restaurant is so underestimated. I got to know them through their facebook post about their March sales. The food is so so good. We ordered a few different dishes to try. Their bun dau mam tom is the best one I’ve ever had. Their sticky rice is one of their best signature dishes. Bun rieu and bun cha ha noi both are very good too. Highly recommend Mamahouse at Berryessa
