Mark Twain Hair Studio

Mark Twain Hair Studio is a hair salon in New Orleans, Louisiana, at 10168 Jefferson Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70123. It may suit people looking for a neighborhood salon for a haircut and a chance to explain what they want before a stylist begins. Customer reviews mention Brittany, Angie, and Daryl by name, with several customers praising their listening, personable manner, and haircut results. The salon has a 4.5-star rating from 26 reviews, offering a useful snapshot of customer experiences while leaving room for individual visits to differ.

Reviews describe a consultation-focused approach as a particular strength. One customer who visits with her daughter says Brittany listens to the requested style, discusses options, and checks that the customer is happy rather than cutting without direction. Another reviewer says Angie understands what they are looking for and does great work, while a customer who saw Daryl describes him as personable and is pleased with the new haircut. These comments may be helpful for people who value being heard and want to talk through their haircut before it is done. They reflect individual experiences, not a guarantee of a particular result or stylist availability.

Customer feedback is not uniformly positive. Some reviewers report difficulty getting a response by phone or receiving a promised return call, and another says their walk-in visit did not receive a greeting or clear assistance. If you are considering a visit, especially as a walk-in or if timing matters, it may be wise to confirm current availability and expectations before setting out. These reports provide important context alongside the positive comments about individual stylists and should not be taken as a statement about every visit.

Mark Twain Hair Studio is listed as open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and closed Sunday and Monday. Its Jefferson Highway address places it in New Orleans, making the salon a local option for residents and visitors seeking a haircut in the area. The available customer feedback focuses on haircut experiences and personal service; it does not specify a broader menu of salon treatments, so ask the business directly about any service beyond a haircut. For customers who appreciate a stylist who listens and offers options, the positive experiences described by Brittany, Angie, and Daryl’s clients may be encouraging, while the reported communication and walk-in concerns are worth keeping in mind.
