With a 4.1-star rating from more than 500 customer reviews, it has become a reliable stop for people looking for Korean ingredients, everyday groceries, prepared foods, and specialty items without having to drive far from the Fremont area. Open daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the store works well for both planned weekly shopping and quick after-work errands.

Inside, MEGA MART focuses strongly on Korean food staples. Customers mention Korean produce, packaged foods, frozen items, fresh vegetables, meats, fish, and pantry essentials that make it easier to cook familiar dishes at home. The selection may feel more focused than some larger regional Asian supermarkets, but that is also part of its appeal: shoppers who specifically want Korean ingredients can browse with less distraction and find many of the basics in one place. For home cooks in Fremont, the store is especially useful for building meals around soups, stews, banchan, noodles, rice dishes, marinades, sauces, and freezer-friendly favorites.

One of the strongest reasons locals visit this Korean grocery store is the prepared food area. Reviewers often point to the deli section as a highlight, noting its variety, fair pricing, and convenient ready-to-eat options. Sushi, to-go meals, baked items, and bakery choices make the store practical for busy lunches, family dinners, or days when cooking from scratch is not the plan. The frozen food selection is also frequently praised, giving shoppers more easy meal options to keep at home. For customers looking for vegan items, Korean snacks, or simple prepared dishes, there is enough variety to make a quick visit worthwhile.

Beyond groceries, MEGA MART also carries Korean skincare and home goods, adding another reason to browse while shopping for food. Customers describe the market as clean, convenient, and supported by a good amount of parking outside, which matters in a busy shopping area of Fremont, CA. The produce section is described as decent rather than oversized, and some shoppers feel the meat, fish, and vegetable selections could be broader, but many still appreciate the quality, organization, and practical range available.

For Fremont residents, Bay Area commuters, Korean food fans, and anyone stocking a kitchen with Korean staples, MEGA MART offers a focused, everyday shopping experience. It is a good fit for shoppers who want prepared foods, frozen meals, bakery items, skincare, and core Korean groceries in one accessible place. With consistent daily hours, a central Mowry Avenue address, and a reputation built across hundreds of reviews, MEGA MART remains a dependable local option for Korean grocery shopping in Fremont, CA.

Very nice Korean grocery and home goods store with a good amount of parking outside. There is also a good selection of prepared foods available including baked items. I thought that the fresh vegetable, meats and fish selections were good but could be better.

One of the best Korean supermarkets around. Their store is very similar to many others but their deli section is hands down one if the best supermarket delis. Lots of variety with good pricing on most of it. Their sushi is especially decent at the quality and price point.

Great place for Korean produce, packaged food, and koran skincare. They also have great fresh togo food options and bakery options. The produce section is decent but not too big.

Great ready to eat variety and excellent frozen food selection. Although they have all the staple ingredients that make a good Korean mart, it’s not as robust as HMart or KP in Oakland. It really feels like it only has Korean ingredients, which is great, if that’s what you are looking for. It’s clean and very organized. Feels bigger than it needs to be though…
