We had an extremely disappointing experience at Mimi's Cafe on Mother’s Day. We made reservations ahead of time and still waited over an hour and a half for our food. Considering it was a major holiday, we expected the restaurant to be properly staffed and prepared, especially since it honestly did not seem that busy inside. We had a party of 14, including several kids, and after sitting there for so long everyone was frustrated. The children were restless, adults were upset, and we watched tables around us either get served faster or leave just as irritated. The entire atmosphere felt disorganized. What made the experience worse was the lack of communication and accountability. No sincere apology was given for the long wait or poor service. When we asked if anything could be done because of the delay, the manager came out with a snarky attitude and handed us another check that appeared to be the exact same price. Apparently the drinks had already been removed, but nobody clearly explained that to us. A simple apology and honest communication would have gone a long way. Waiting nearly two hours for food on a holiday with reservations is unacceptable. We would not recommend this location to anyone else after this experience. Honestly, it makes sense now why the restaurant was so empty on Mother’s Day — we probably should have taken that as a hint before staying. Unfortunately, we will not be returning and would not recommend anybody else to return to this nightmare restaurant.

Great American food. The onion soup is always the way to go. I enjoy the salmon and the sweet salmon or the turkey with mashed potato. The servings are average and you won’t have leftovers. For lunch the salads are pretty big and good. Overall we have been fans of Mimi’s for years

I had such a nice visit here! I ordered the Jambalaya Pasta, a Seasonal Dubai Muffin, and an Iced Coffee. Everything was delicious and freshly made. The jambalaya pasta had a great flavor with just the right amount of spice, the muffin was warm and soft (tasted homemade!), and the iced coffee was super fresh and smooth. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the café had a cozy, relaxed vibe 😊 perfect for a casual lunch or brunch. I’ll definitely come back again 💛
