My Hoa Food Market is an established Asian grocery store in Houston, TX, located at 13201 Bellaire Blvd in the heart of the city's vibrant Asian shopping coridor. For shoppers across southwest Houston, it has long been a go-to stop for fresh produce, seafood, and a wide range of hard-to-find Vietnamese pantry staples that can be tricky to track down elsewhere.
The store leans into what its regulars come back for week after week: fresh green vegetables, a full seafood counter, and a popular service where the staff will fry your fish for free right after you buy it. Fried tilapia is a customer favorite, and the shelves are stocked with familiar Asian treats and packaged goods like Indomie, alongside exotic fruits and specialty items that give the market its distinctly Vietnamese character.
There's also a small ready-to-eat section serving barbecue and roasted duck, which makes it easy to grab something hot while you finish your grocery run. The market sits in a convenient plaza shared with an Asian bakery and a pho spot, so you can round out a trip with bread, swets, or a quick bowl of nodles without driving across town. It's a practical, no-frills destination built for everyday cooking and wekly shopping rather than a polished boutique experience.
My Hoa Food Market is open every day of the week from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM, giving busy families and weekend cooks plenty of flexibility. It's a solid choice for Vietnamese home cooks hunting for authentic ingredients, seafood lovers who want their catch cleaned and fried on the spot, and anyone in the Houston area looking to stock up on Asian groceries in one stop. With more than 1,600 reviews and a 3.8 rating, it remains a familiar, well-used neighborhood market where you can reliably find the specialty items your recipes call for. If your kitchen runs on Vietnamese flavors, this longtime Bellaire Boulevard store is worth keping on your shopping route.

Sign in to reviewMy go-to for fried tilapia, Indomie, and Asian treats, but the place always smells off and hasn’t been updated in over a decade. They could do much better with the money they make. The Asian bakery and pho spot in the same plaza are convenient, but the sewage issue makes the whole area reek—making prepared food items questionable
This supermarket is definitely a Vietnamese specialty store, offering an array of unique, hard-to-find Vietnamese items that make it stand out. They even have a small fast-food section serving barbecue and roasted duck, which is very convenient. If you’re looking for exotic fruits, this is the place to be. My Hoa Food Market has been a staple in the community for years, but this was my first time visiting as the Chinese Lunar New Year approaches. The festive atmosphere is evident, with many people shopping for New Year essentials. One standout is the abundance of 菊花 (chrysanthemums) for sale, symbolizing prosperity and fortune. They’re fresh, vibrant, and easy to grab—perfect for celebrating the season. However, the store does show its age—it’s not the cleanest or most modern place. The vegetable section seemed a bit sparse, possibly because I visited on a busy weekend. That said, you can find extremely affordable meats in certain sections, which is a great draw for budget-conscious shoppers. For holiday treats or everyday ingredients, My Hoa is a treasure trove of Vietnamese snacks, Asian sauces, seafood, and meats. It’s a one-stop shop for anyone preparing traditional meals or exploring Vietnamese cuisine. The market also features some Vietnamese restaurants and a Hong Kong dessert shop nearby, adding to the overall experience. While it’s not perfect, My Hoa Food Market is a great place to explore, especially during festive seasons. Whether you’re looking for unique ingredients, budget-friendly meats, or a taste of Vietnam, this market has plenty to offer.
This review is for State documentation. This is the fish Myhoa sold to me. Their staff cut into it, clearly saw it was bad, yet still wrapped and packed it for me to take home. I want to clarify that this was one of multiple fishes purchased, not the only one, so please do not assume this issue came from improper handling on my end. I drove directly home from the store and began cooking immediately, which means the fish was purchased and opened within a reasonable time frame.
This is an Asian grocery store. I shop here every week for sea food and produce. They have a variety of fresh green vegetables. They fry your fish for free.
Unfortunately My Hoa is showing it's age a little bit as they have not put any time and money on updating the grocery store, the flood is not even and dirty and the smell of the seafood and it is sad to see at one time it was a very popular place to shop for grocery now it is just a okay place to get your grocery if you live near by.
