Our group of eight had a generally pleasant dinner here with flavorful food and friendly service. The appetizers arrived quickly, though the main entrees were slow to come out and felt a bit small for the price. Note that they only validate parking for valet, not self-parking.
Nan Thai has a beautiful ambiance and is in a great location, making it a nice spot for dinner. We started with the Thai Me Down and We Will Rok-U cocktails. Both were well-crafted and enjoyable—refreshing without being overly sweet, though they didn’t particularly stand out. For appetizers, the chicken and shrimp dumplings were excellent and definitely the highlight of the meal. The spring rolls were just okay and didn’t meet our expectations. We also ordered the Pad Kee Mao the dish lacked the bold flavors we were expecting. It was decent, but not especially memorable. The only real downside was the parking. Most restaurants in the area validate parking for up to two hours, but Nan Thai does not. We ended up paying for garage parking, and surprisingly, the valet option would have been cheaper than the hourly parking. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with a lovely atmosphere, good cocktails, and tasty dumplings, but the rest of the food was average. I’d give it 3.5 out of 5 stars
the restaurant quality is good love it but the lamb chops were reduced in size compared to years from what i ate a year or two ago. They were great previously and are alright now. the lobster soup was great and dumplings too. server was knowledgeable and atmosphere was good as well.
We had a wonderful experience dining at Nan today. I absolutely recommend for lunch or dinner! The Tom Kha soup is a must as a starter. We also really enjoyed both the crispy dumplings and the steamed ones. Entree highlights for us were the Chilean Sea Bass served over crab fried rice with steamed bok choy. The Wagyu beef cheek entree with curry and rice was outstanding as well. Overall, we really enjoyed every dish that we ate - the flavors were rich and thoughtfully combined. The service was also really lovely. Valet parking is easy and directly adjacent to the Nan entrance.
This is a great date night restaurant. The ambiance, service (ask for Donavan), AND THE FOOD/BEVERAGE was all top tier. We had fried calamari (wasn’t heavy or oily, just right), Larb Kai (very flavorful, loved the mint in it), Penang wagyu beef cheeks, and lamb shank hung lay. Donavan listened to what my husband and I had a taste for and helped us along the way. Apps, main dishes, drinks, desserts he was SPOT ON with. The lamb chops (get medium rare) amazing! The waygu beef cheeks get with extra rice (my husband got the crab rice and it didn’t disappoint). The portion sizes were just right for me. One thing about the drinks, the alcohol is top tier. None of it makes you feel groggy after. Smooth and almost undetectable, but it is there, so drink responsibly. Everything was just memorable. Even down to the hostess taking our photo to end a memorable night; she was sweet. We look forward to making this our spot for a more upscale date night! I also look forward to what spring and summer dining will look like on the patio. Lastly, ASK FOR DONOVAN. I don’t know this man, but he made the experience that much better. He checked on us, but not too much. The brief conversations we had were just right to compliment our evening.
