Newark Excellent Massage

I have been coming here for a long time now. I have been to many other massage places in the area and after years of looking for the right place I finally found it and this is where I will keep coming. Ella and Mia are absolutely life savers. I suffer from chronic pain from a near fatal car accident 40 years ago. Here I get the help I need to feel better. I always show them what areas I need them to focus on. When they start working on me it's very clear that from their years of experience, they very quickly know exactly what is going on in my body, and they know exactly how to loosen me up and relieve my pain. I let them know what level of pressure I like in each place through out the process. What areas to do a little extra or go back to later. The important thing is communication. I get a great therapeutic massage at a very fair price every time. When I walk out I am so happy, it feels like a miracle for me to be pain free. I love that when I pay in cash I save a little money. If they do not have to pay the extra percentage to the credit card company, then they do not charge you for it. Wow! I love that when I pay for a 90 minute massage, I actually get a full 90 minutes of massage, or even a little more some times. They are very thorough and want you to feel good. This is not a fancy spa, it's a simple, cute and clean place. They are not going to try to sell you a bunch of extras. They are going to help you feel better. Thank you ladies, see you soon!

I was able to get a same-day appointment, which was convenient. Upon arrival, I met the owner and requested a different therapist (not the skinny lady), but it seemed my request was either misunderstood or ignored. I paid upfront for a one-hour massage and was charged an additional $5 for using a credit card. The therapist did not ask which areas I wanted to focus on, which is usually standard practice. The massage itself felt more like light rubbing, with very little technique or pressure adjustment, despite me being asked briefly about the pressure. Most of the session was spent on repetitive back rubbing, which left me feeling unsatisfied. Despite my dissatisfaction, I still offered a $10 tip. However, the therapist seemed displeased and insisted that others usually tip $20. The owner was present during this interaction but said nothing, which felt unprofessional. Overall, I would not recommend this place based on my experience. If you do choose to go, I suggest requesting a different therapist.

I had been driving a lot yesterday and needed to drive about 3 more hours home. My back was already tight and legs stiff, so I went to Newark Excellent Massage as a walk-in. The owner was able to go to work immediately on me. Her knowing hands determined immediately where were the spots on my back that needed the most attention, and her technique was impeccable. She also used some unique methods on my legs (some Thai massage techniques?) that really restored them for me. I'll definitely be back.

Yesterday, I attended my niece’s party at the park, and it was incredibly windy. By the end of the day, my whole body felt exhausted. Since I’m new to the area, I decided to try a massage place—and I’m so glad I did. Lady Ella was amazing. She immediately understood where my body was tight and gave one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I left feeling so much better. Highly recommend her!

They do an amazing job always. Very experienced staff. They use the right pressure. Everyone is great but today Ella did my massage and she was out of the world. I had been having shoulder, neck and back pain due to incorrect sleeping posture and she was so so good. My body feels relaxed and light. Thank you team you all are awesome!!
