Nick's Foreign Car Center is an auto repair shop at 121 Beach St, Malden, MA 02148, serving drivers in Malden, Massachusetts and the surrounding area. Customers describe Nick as a long-standing neighborhood mechanic who works on BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, and other vehicles. The shop has a 4.7-star rating from 53 reviews. For drivers looking for a local place to bring a foreign make—or simply seeking a mechanic known for clear, practical advice—Nick's offers a personal alternative to a one-size-fits-all service experience.

Reviews point to a straightforward approach: identify what needs attention, explain the repair, and let customers know what may deserve monitoring later. One Mercedes owner says Nick fixes only what is necessary and shares what to watch for going forward. Other customers describe him as fair and reasonable, and several say they have trusted him with their cars for many years. That kind of continuity can be valuable when you want a mechanic who is familiar with your vehicle and can help you understand its condition over time. The comments emphasize honest communication and useful guidance rather than pressure to approve unnecessary work.

The experiences customers share also include practical repairs beyond routine maintenance. Nick has helped with incorrectly rewired lights discovered during a bulb visit, and a customer says the issue was corrected quickly at a reasonable cost. Another review recounts a worn pulley that shredded a van's serpentine belt during a long road trip. With air conditioning, power steering, and charging affected, the travelers could not continue safely; Nick prioritized the repair the following morning and got them back on the road. These accounts suggest a shop suited to drivers who need careful troubleshooting as well as help addressing an unexpected problem. Customers also mention small courtesies, such as an assistant noticing low tire pressure and filling the tires during a consultation.

Nick's Foreign Car Center may be a good fit for local owners of European makes, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Volkswagen, as well as drivers of other cars who value a mechanic's direct explanations. It may also suit people who want to hear about developing concerns before they become more pressing, or travelers facing a repair that has interrupted a trip. The atmosphere described in reviews is personal and grounded in long-term relationships, with customers returning over many years and praising the care they receive. The shop is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and closed Saturday and Sunday. If you are comparing auto repair shops in Malden, the location, weekday hours, and customer accounts of fair service offer useful details as you decide where to bring your vehicle.

Nick is extremely fair and reasonable and knows everything about Mercedes cars. He’ll only fix what’s needed and let you know what to watch for going forward. Nick has been taking care of my cars for 15 years and I drive with confidence!

Nick saved us. A worn out pulley shredded the serpentine belt on our van while passing through on a long road-trip. No AC, no power steering, no alternator to keep the battery charged.....so no way we could keep driving. He prioritized us the following morning and had us repaired and back on the road. Other repair shops likely would have taken advantage of our desperate situation and added extra charges, but Nick was kind and compassionate and charged us a very reasonable rate, explained the issue and what had to be fixed and got us back on the road quickly and safely. Highly recommend.

Nick fixed my lights that were rewired wrong at a different place. He found this out when I went in for a bulb change. He did this pretty quickly, and the cost was reasonable. His assistant pointed out that my tires needed air and filled them up for free when I initially went in for a consult. I wish I had just come here from the beginning. Just take your cars to Nick if you need the job done quickly, thoroughly and at a great price.

Nick is the best. I've been bringing my cars to him for over 16 years. He is honest, which is a big deal when looking for a mechanic. He also let's you know about other issues your car has or may have in the future when you pick it up. He and his crew are very passionate about their jobs and it shows in their work.
