The banh mi here is hands-down our favorite. It has great flavor and a better price than what you’d pay for the same size and ingredients in Chinatown or Dorchester. Their spicy beef noodle soup is also excellent, with a taste that’s impressively close to the authentic version. You really can’t beat the prices in this area, especially considering the high quality of the food. The owner is incredibly kind. One time, I didn’t have quite enough cash for an extra dessert, and instead of making me swipe my card, she just gave it to me at a discount instantly. Her avocado smoothy with the white boba tastes wonderful too. The spot itself is pretty small and not the best for dining in, so getting delivery or takeout is your best bet. Curbside parking can be tricky, but you can usually find a spot near Walgreens and walk over.
The Vietnamese food here is very authentic and delicious. The portions are huge, and all the sandwiches are only $6. With current prices, getting a whole sandwich that's almost a foot long and packed with meat for just $6 is an incredible deal. What more could you possibly ask for?
For what it is, this is a fantastic sandwich shop. Prices are beyond reasonable, and although the protein on the sandwiches is somewhat scarce, a single sandwich can definitely fill you up. Service is particularly quick for only a single person working. Would recommend for anyone on lunch break.
I really like the special combination sandwiches with the different cold cuts. This is run by a small family and I really love supporting small businesses. The owners are very friendly and kind people and if you are in the mood for some …
I order a soup with braised beef. It was pretty good but the beef itself was a bit bland. The broth was very flavorful. I think it was supposed to come with a baguette but I didn't get one? I definitely want to come back to try a Bahn Mi.
