Solid Asian grocer in a city otherwise lacking options. They have a good selection of rices, noodles, sauces, and fun Asian imported snacks. If you're doing any kind of Asian cooking this would be your place to pickup your first supplies outside an everyday grocer like HEB. Your Asian food quality will improve dramatically by shopping here.

I live on the other side of town, so I decided to take the bus to this business last weekend. I bought quite a few things and the man behind the counter, then asked if I was done. I told him I wanted to see what he had on the other side of the store and he seemed annoyed. Mind you, it was not even close to closing time. He rushed me out saying "I have to go". I apologized and then thanked him for my purchases. He did not thank me for purchasing. I looked at the clock and it was 10 minutes to 6 pm. Since I was across the street at the bus stop, I could see whether or not he left the store. Lo and behold, a couple pulled up and entered the store. They stayed roughly 25 minutes. During that time, another couple entered the store, so he lied and just wanted me out of his store for whatever his reasons were. I did not feel welcome, nor did I feel that my business was particularly welcome. So, I left and I choose NOT to return. With that kind of attitude and not to mention, his lies, why bother? There are other stores. My advice is to give this store a miss! He needs to learn that the customer keeps him in business and not vice versa.

I've been visiting this store on and off for over thirty some odd years. I went as a kid and I am visiting as an adult now. One of the best oriental stores ever. True, its a small store but it has a great atmosphere and I always feel like I'm stepping back to the 90s every time I visit. The veggies are fresh as are the fish and crabs when they have them. I think on Thursday mornings is when those items come in. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Very cozy place, small but packed with Asian goodies, snacks and spices, fish sauce to very unique ramen soup blends... Prices are extremely reasonable. Pocky is only 89cents vs like $2-$3 at Walmart or HEB.
