Ombre Nail Bar Charlotte is a nail salon at 5125 South Blvd A in Charlotte, NC 28217, serving people looking for manicures, pedicures, and detailed nail work. Customer reviews describe services including a regular mani-pedi, French tips, builder gel fills, and hand-painted nail art. The salon has a 4.4-star rating across 2,007 reviews, giving prospective visitors a substantial range of customer feedback to consider. Its address on South Boulevard makes it a local option for Charlotte residents and others visiting this part of the city.

Reviews point to detail-focused work as one reason some customers return. One customer praised a technician’s careful shaping and attention to the edges, as well as a freehand heart design that came out beautifully. Other feedback mentions both positive and disappointing experiences with manicures and French tips, so results may not be consistent for every visit or service. If you have a specific shape, design, or finish in mind, explaining what you want before work begins can help set clear expectations. Customers can also ask about the service they want, such as a builder gel fill or pedicure, when arranging their visit.

The salon may suit people seeking everyday nail care as well as customers who want a more decorative detail, such as hand-painted art. Reviews also mention returning clients and specific technicians, including Lee and Kevin, while describing different experiences with service and scheduling. Feedback about staff and the visit is mixed: some reviewers highlight professionalism, kindness, and careful work, while others report concerns about communication, waiting, or how their service was handled. Reading recent reviews and confirming preferences directly with the salon may help visitors decide whether it fits their needs.

Customer feedback includes a serious hygiene complaint in which a reviewer reported seeing roaches during a visit and described a pest crawling on their foot. This is a customer’s report, not a verified finding, but it is relevant information for anyone evaluating the salon. Other reviews express disappointment with results or the way appointments unfolded, alongside praise for particular technicians and nail designs. Taken together, the reviews suggest a range of experiences rather than a uniform one; visitors may want to discuss their expectations and any concerns before starting a service.

Ombre Nail Bar Charlotte is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m., according to the listed hours. It is located at 5125 South Blvd A, Charlotte, NC 28217. Whether you are considering a basic manicure and pedicure, French tips, a builder gel fill, or custom nail art, check the current hours and communicate your requested service and design clearly. The variety of feedback makes it useful to weigh both positive comments about precision and customer care and critical reports when choosing a nail salon in Charlotte.

I’m absolutely delighted—it was magnificent work. I loved it; the young woman did a fantastic job. She was incredibly detail-oriented and a perfectionist with the edges, and the heart design turned out perfect—she freehanded it, and it was beautifully shaped and detailed. It was a quick yet well-executed job. Her name is Lili; great work, thank you so much. I truly recommend it—it’s a great place to get your nails done.

Roaches!!! Be Aware! I came here to get a pedicure and a fill in for builder gel! I only got my nails done because they have roaches and one crawled on my foot! I informed the person doing my nails and he sat there as if it was NORMAL! I asked him to stop so I can take my purse to the car because I didn’t want any roaches coming home with me, he started rambling on about dip powder! Yes, because it was a roach over there too! I stopped past the front desk to share with the manager my experience and she pretended not to understand what I said until I showed her this photo. I asked if the exterminated and she said something about the restaurant next door! Beware!

I’m honestly disappointed writing this because I genuinely loved coming to this salon for a long time, mainly because of Lee. Lee is always professional, kind, welcoming, and consistently does my nails perfectly. His energy and customer service are the reason I kept returning. Unfortunately, my last experience completely changed how I feel about this place. Dan, who I believe is the owner and used to do my nails before, treated me in a way that felt dismissive and careless. I came in needing a broken nail fixed, and instead of handling it professionally, I felt blamed and brushed off. The repair was rushed, uneven, and noticeably bigger than my other nails. What hurt the most wasn’t even the nail itself, it was the attitude and lack of care shown toward me as a paying customer. Saying “I don’t do nails like Lee” felt more like an excuse than an attempt to actually fix the issue properly. I’m not a difficult customer at all. I’m respectful, patient, and understanding, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I believe customers deserve to be treated with kindness and professionalism, especially when they’re spending their hard-earned money. It honestly breaks my heart to leave this review because I truly enjoyed coming here, but people deserve to know my experience. Respect and customer service matter just as much as the nails.

I’ve been going to this same nail salon for over 5 years, so this was really disappointing. I specifically asked for Kevin, and the manager told me multiple times to get my pedicure first and that he would do my nails after. But toward the very end of my pedicure—while I was getting my top coat—they gave him to another client who had just walked in. When I tried to address it, I was completely ignored. I didn’t argue, I just decided I wouldn’t be spending my money there anymore. On the bright side, I found a new spot—Trap Beauty Bar in Charlotte—and I’m so glad I did. It’s a Black-owned establishment, and they offer everything: nails, feet, hair, braids, lashes, waxing. The customer service was amazing, and the whole vibe was welcoming and professional. Definitely a hidden gem, and I’m happy to support a business that values its clients. This is my first set at Trap Beauty Bar today and it’s definitely stronger acrylic! If you value where you spend your hard earned black dollars in today’s climate, you will feel relieved as I do!

Really disappointed in my nails. This was the second time I’d gone and I was happy with the first and was hoping to make this my regular place. This time, I got a regular mani pedi, with my mani having French tips. The French tips are so …
