Sign in to reviewThe flavors were lacking as with the textures. I could barely taste strawberry in the cream of the strawberry moon. While the black sesame onigiri croissant cream was better, the black sesame latte only had coffee flavor. Other than a crispy exterior, all their pastries did not have a rich buttery flavor. The butter croissant as well as the tuna salad danish were particularly dense rather than being light and airy. They need a better process to display which ones are sold out or will require a long wait after ordering.
When we arrived, parking was a little difficult to find, but that’s not really the restaurant’s fault since they only have street parking. We ordered the Spam bacon tart, the Strawberry Moon croissant, a latte, and an iced tea. The Spam bacon tart was just okay. The combination of both meats, along with the cheese on top, made it feel a bit too heavy and salty for my taste. The Strawberry Moon croissant was also just okay. It was extremely crunchy—borderline hard—and didn’t have enough filling. It also seemed to be missing that light, buttery flavor you typically expect from a good croissant. My biggest complaint, though, was the iced tea. It seemed to be seriously over-steeped and had an unpleasantly bitter aftertaste, even after adding sugar. The latte we ordered was also sweetened, which is something I would have preferred to know beforehand. While it wasn’t unpleasant, it wasn’t what I expected based on the menu description. Overall, the experience was just okay, and I don't think I would go out of my way to return.
We tried the almond pastry (with the Oreo on top), chocolate croissant, and strawberry moon pastry. The strawberry and almond flavors were somewhat subtle, not the most flavorful. My favorite was the chocolate croissant. We heated it up a little bit beforehand which made it more crispy.
Grand opening was July 1st. Quite an amazing selection! There were over 20 varieties, and I may have to try them all.
All around great just limited on available pastries. Got here at 1130 and not many options with pastries. Supply doesn't meet the demand. But the ones we did get were fire. Next time get here early.
