Graduated from 8th grade when Sister Mary Anthony was principal. Went on to Notre Dame/St. Joseph in Alameda used to walk to school lived on Santa Clara Ave. Loved the school and the parish. I was there when the first remodel took place. Wow it has certainly come a LONG way...that grammar school did produce some clergy. I still sing in my parish choir St. Matthais Somerset NJ have stayed faithful all these years. I was looking for info on Sister Mary Anthony as she TRULY shaped my life if anyone can help would appreciate, my searches have been fruitless. Cannot find obituary or anything!

Beautiful church full of history not only of the early Catholic Church, but also of early California and the settlers and residents of San Francisco. The juxtaposition of the old and new, with side by side buildings is a striking visual of how far people have come, but of also what the future may hold. This is also a fully operational working Church; with an elementary school that was hosting their annual festival. Coupled with Palm Sunday festivities, it's was a good week to come check it all out.
