Several reviewers appreciate practitioners checking in about pressure and listening to requests for attention to specific areas. Deep tissue massage may feel intense to some people, so the feedback also points to the value of communicating if you would prefer a gentler approach. I had a good experience here, but I would like to share some details others might be interested in. The good is: I paid for an hour deep tissue massage and feel like I got my money's worth. The massage was good and everyone was polite. There was a mix up with which masseuse would be caring for me, but it was resolved quickly once I voiced concern. No trouble. The parts that took away from the experience, was a lack of communication. Several of the therapists I interacted with spoke very little English, and this did not feel comfortable given that I was mostly naked with a stranger. I was undressed and under a sheet within 2 minutes of walking in; way too quick. There was no rapport, discussion of problem areas, and the language barrier contributed to this. The rooms were curtailed off areas instead of private closed off rooms. Very little privacy. The few times I peaked up, my privacy curtain was wide open, and given that my behind was uncovered, and I could hear other customers walking by, the feeling of exposure was very unwelcome. I'm not shy by any means, but even still. I've had amazing massages before that made me melt and mind go fuzzy. This just got the job done. I'll be going elsewhere for a massage next time.
I had a scalp & shoulder massage here and it was amazing!! The location is very easy to find, clean and quiet. My massage therapist was very kind and helpful and I felt very relaxed. I also had gua sha on my face which was amazing and felt so great - I can't wait to go back!
Only place in Philly I’ll go for a massage at this point. I really appreciate how the practitioners check in to make sure the pressure and everything is good, and they listen when I ask for specific areas to be focused on. The booking …
The best massage place ever in Philadelphia. And I have been going to them for a long time, every three weeks or four weeks. YoYo and Lucy, they are the best; they know what they're doing. It's for real medical massage. And I promise you will never go out from here; you will not be happy.
Best massage I’ve ever gotten. It was truly a deep tissue massage and the masseuse was very communicative about the issues he was sensing. It can come off as very intense but if you feel overwhelmed you can tell them to take it easy. I …
