If you are looking for authentic, cloud-soft, and incredibly flavorful banh bao in the Seattle area, Papa Banh Bao is a must-visit. We ordered the Combo Bao and the Quail Egg Bao, and both were very delicious! The dough itself is perfectly sweet, light, and pillowy. Inside, the savory pork filling is incredibly juicy and seasoned to perfection. The Combo Bao comes with a perfect mix of quail egg and salted egg, which creates the ultimate bite. You can tell everything here is made fresh with high-quality ingredients. Quick service and unforgettable flavor, just like in Vietnam—we will definitely be stocking up on more next time!

Best bánh bao in the area! Bánh Bao Chay (Veggie): Absolutely delicious. The fluffy, soft bun is packed with a juicy mushroom medley that hits the perfect sweet and savory balance. It’s light but incredibly satisfying. The Combo (Meat): My husband’s favorite! It’s loaded with pork, a quail egg, salted yolk, and savory lạp xưởng (sweet sausage). Pro Tip: They sell frozen options too! We keep a few in the freezer for home cravings. Just steam them to get that fresh-from-the-shop texture. The Space: It feels like a busy bánh bao factory with a charming but small waiting area. Since it's a bit cramped, it’s best to send in one "representative" to wait inside while the rest of the group hangs back!

We drove 40 minutes just to eat here and it did not disappoint! The guy (with the perm) helping us was amazing, helpful and so friendly. We ordered 6 buns to share with (1 adult + 3 kids) and ended up ordering 2 more, not because we were …

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Got the 6-pack vacuum-sealed bao as a gift for my friend in Canada—perfectly packaged and super convenient for travel. Everything stayed fresh and looked great! The Papabanhbao staff were also amazing—they even gave me a free drink while I was waiting. Great food and even better service. Highly recommend!

This cozy carry-out banh bao restaurant is delicious, fast, and vegetarian friendly (mushroom, taro, and durian)! My favorite was their mushroom bao - they use 8 types of mushrooms! They are located just off of the main Tukwila shopping road, but they have tons of easy parking! They also sell their bao frozen / refrigerated with instructions on how to reheat them. They can be steamed quickly in the microwave - no need for your own steamer! I will be back for a bite to eat while shopping, and also to take home some refrigerated bao to send with my partner to work!
