Sign in to reviewI called to make an appointment for my parents, and the receptionist told me she was on another line and placed me on hold. That was fine — I understand offices get busy. However, I waited for more than 10 minutes with no update, so I hung up and called back. Again, I was placed on hold. This time she returned after about 5 minutes. During our conversation, she repeatedly muted her microphone, which made the interaction feel uncomfortable and disconnected. When I asked why she kept muting herself, she responded that she was sneezing and assumed I wouldn’t want to hear it. After scheduling the appointment, she did not provide important instructions regarding fasting. I had to call the office back to clarify. I recognized her voice when she answered, asked for Michelle, and was placed on hold yet again. After this experience, I looked up reviews and was unfortunately not surprised to see similar feedback about the front desk. Doctor Quang, if you happen to read this, please know that before we could even see you, we experienced very poor service from the front desk. Their role should be to make the process smoother and easier for patients. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I ultimately had to call our PCP’s office to change the referral as soon as possible. Truly disappointing.
If there was a 0 star, I would 100% give them. The front desk staff is disrespectful and blunt. It was extremely disappointing. Their lack of concern for the client experience and overall unprofessional attitude was unacceptable. There needs to have a claim sent to insurances to cut the contracts to these types of offices.
This review is for the front desk staff. After reading other reviews, I completely understand why so many patients have felt frustrated and uncomfortable with the way they’ve been treated here. Sadly, I had a very similar experience myself. My first intention in writing this review was to complain, because I have truly never dealt with staff so unprofessional and poorly trained in communication. But instead of just venting, I want to leave this as a reminder: You are working in a healthcare office, a specialist’s office, where many of your patients are elderly or living with chronic illnesses. These patients rely on your kindness, guidance, and support, not just the doctor’s care. Treating them with impatience or disrespect is unacceptable. Without patients, the office cannot exist, and none of us would have jobs. Even if you believe the office would “sustain no matter what,” that is not an excuse for rude or dismissive behavior. If working with people in a healthcare setting feels too stressful or overwhelming, then perhaps this isn’t the right career path. There are many jobs that may be less demanding and better suited for you. I hope you take this seriously. One day, when you yourself become a patient, you may find out how painful it feels to be treated with the same lack of compassion. That’s not just poor service: it’s bad karma.
I wanted to give this office 1 star, but honestly I dont even want to. The front desk lady not nice kind of rude. The doctor and services not good. If you dont want headaches or unnecessary tress do not choose this office. The front desk lady will make things very difficult for you.
This review is solely for how unprofessional and rude their receptionist Michelle was when speaking to my mom. My mom just found out her cancer had returned and has been to this doctor before so she called this office to ask for an appointment. Firstly, Michelle answered the phone with just “hello” which was already confusing. Her tone from the start was already as if we were bothering her. My mom asked to get an appointment and gave Michelle her birthdate/name to which Michelle told her that she needed to see the doctor again, and that the appointment would be for November. My mom asked if there was a sooner appointment , Michelle responded that she set that appointment for her and if she wanted to see the doctor sooner then she’d need to walk in. My mom didn’t know there was an option for walk ins so she asked her oh I can walk in? “That’s what I just told you” each time my mom would ask a question she would either speak over or interrupt my mom which made it hard for my mom to hear and understand. So she would ask to confirm and Michelle would continue to get annoyed and say “that’s what I just said” . Just asking for the time of walk-ins seemed to get Michelle even more annoyed. Michelle’s performance as someone who represents Dr Phans office is extremely poor, unprofessional and not to mention disrespectful especially for someone working in the medical field one would expect her to be more empathetic to the patients. They are already going through enough , my mom was so kind to her throughout the entire conversation..it was absolutely unnecessary for Michelle to behave the way she did. She definitely needs to be retrained or perhaps being a receptionist is just not her forte and maybe belongs somewhere that does not require any human interaction.
