Erin Larkin at Philly Home Girls was the absolute best agent I could ask for when buying my first home in Philly. I originally signed up for her team’s First Time Homebuyer Workshop, but couldn’t make it. Erin was kind enough to meet me one-on-one to cover the material and get me started on the process. We cannot imagine going through the homebuying process as first-time homeowners without Rachel by our side. She was so helpful and knowledgeable about every aspect of the process. My husband and I saw so many homes on the journey to find the right fit and Rachel was there each step of the way helping us hone our wants and needs and guiding us to our perfect first home. When we faced (multiple) unexpected challenges in the process, Rachel was there to explain what to do next, what options we had, and to keep us focused on the end goal. In addition to getting us across the finish line, Rachel has so many great connections in the city and has helped us find excellent, trustworthy folks to help get work done quickly and affordable at our new home. Working with someone who truly cared about us and our family, made an immense difference and we will always be grateful for her hard work and guidance.

My partner, Tim, and I worked with Rachel Shaw at Philly Home Girls and she is just so amazing!! We were honestly overwhelmed with picking a realtor and I'm so glad we took the time to read PHG's team's page and scour their Instagrams because I really think we hit the jackpot with Rachel. As first time homebuyers, she made the process feel seamless, enjoyable, and was even able to minimize a lot of our stress (we're worrywarts). I can't speak to how this process goes with other realtors, but as we expected, based on her being on Philly Mag's Top Producer's for the past six years, she was super helpful with showing us houses and drawing up the paperwork on multiple properties! We found her the night before we went to tour a house in West Philly that we knew we'd want to put an offer in on. We talked to her on the phone right after the tour and made the offer by the end of the weekend. I mean this in the best way possible, she moves fast! We really appreciated not only how quick she was and her attention to detail but mostly how she taught us things. During house tours she would point out various systems throughout the home, share her thoughts on what needed replacing or looked a little suspicious, and had us think about how we might really *live* in the space. We ended up buying in Norris Square and she's really gone above and beyond. She has provided recommendations on contractors and designers who can help us with home improvements and even after close she has encouraged us to text her if we have any questions. Throughout this whole process she's been a big sister we can ask any and every question to. Even connected us with other first time homebuyers that PHG sold to in our same neighborhood. If you are thinking you might go with a different agency, don't. We would choose PHG and Rachel Shaw again in a heartbeat.
