After hearing praise from West Coast friends that Pho 75 in Rosslyn serves the best pho in America, I returned to put that claim to the test. Ordering No. 5 (eye-round steak, flank, tendon, and tripe) alongside No. 15 (eye-round steak), I was immediately struck by the broth’s appearance—remarkably clear and seemingly delicate. At first glance, I worried it might lack depth. Quite the opposite. The broth delivers impressive concentration and balance, offering clean, beef-forward flavor without heaviness. Every sip is nuanced, satisfying, and remarkably refined. The assorted meats were expertly prepared, with tender beef, silky tendon, and properly textured tripe complementing the bowl beautifully. Is it the single best pho in the country? That remains debatable. What is undeniable, however, is that Pho 75 serves an exceptionally well-executed bowl that easily ranks among the DMV’s finest—and one well worth returning for.

This is a‑long‑standing local Vietnamese pho spot with great reputation around DC‑Arlington area. The beef broth is deeply‑simmered with bones, rich and authentic without excessive sugar, which stands out from most other pho restaurants in America. The special combo pho (#1) comes with rare beef, beef tendon and tripe, generous‑sized portions. Basil, bean sprouts and limes are self‑served for free. Prices are budget‑friendly, and the food is ready quickly even during busy hours. Downsides are the plain, cramped dining‑room. It only accepts cash, so remember to bring cash in advance. Side dishes like spring rolls are mediocre, just stick to beef pho. Overall it is absolutely worth a visit if you love genuine Vietnamese noodle soup.

What's the rave about? Extremely watered down and the large was a joke. Price is decent but am I just paying for a snack? Kids were starving and asked for extra food somewhere else afterwards. Family thought it was ok but look at the color of this broth. How much did they need to water it down to get it to this dull color? The flavor was bland, watered down and lost all the complexity of a true beef pho. Good pho is a deep brown color that's not dull, it's translucent and the taste should linger in the mouth for several seconds after you slurp it. It was edible at best. The wait was 45 mins! Not worth it.

A great spot to grab a quick bite. Pho is inexpensive and authentic, and the staff (despite being very busy) made time and gave us extra lime and noodles like asked. I will say the portion sizes are not large compared to other Pho spots, …

My personal favorite pho in the area since 2009. I used to come here every week in college. It’s still so good after all these years. I arrived at 1pm on weekday lunch, and there was a line, maybe 10 groups ahead of me; however, due to the fast turnover, I was seated in 15 mins. I usually go with #11 and a jumbo onion, which is a side that you can order with additional cost. Food came out pretty quickly, maybe 5 minutes after I ordered, with veggies as sides. I always taste the broth first as is. It’s already rich without adding anything. Then, I usually put in all veggies and squeeze a slice of lime, and taste the broth again. Very different. Then, I ask for a small saucer, mix sriracha and hoisin sauce, and dip meat in the mixed sauce to try it. Very fresh. After I eat a slice or two of meat, I mix the sauce into broth as well, and dig into it. I can’t stop until I clear the entire bowl. Cash only, pay at the counter. Very efficient. This place is a must-try for anyone who comes to DC.
