The food was pretty bad, pho tasted okay but com tam’s meat texture was kind if rubbery-ish. I like their spring roll though. I do feel a little bit nauseous after eating the food here.
Pho 99 has the best broth in White Center area. I always come here for my dac biet combo and occasionally come here for bun bo hue. The goi cuon (spring rolls) are great as well.
Ordered pho w/ steak, brisket, and meatball. The meatball was exactly that: one sad little meatball cut in half and floating in the broth. The steak looked like rejected deli roast beef and was almost inedible. At least the broth was decent, but along with the feeling that the person who took my order and gave me the food when I arrived couldn't possibly care less whether they got my money or not I won't be coming back here.
I don’t understand why this place is rated so high. The service sucked and the food was mediocre. There were a couple people working there but it took a while to come to our table. When we were ready to pay, a couple of workers were …
A tasty spot off the beaten path. I popped into this very unassuming place after being ignored at the Cambodian joint across the street. I was greeted promptly and ordered my food shortly there after. The tea was strong and hot. Love it! My appetizer was a ground pork spring roll. The meat was an Asian salami of some sorts. It was good but lacked flavor overall. Perhaps a few more veggies to make it tastier? The lemongrass chicken and rice plate was tasty. I asked for a fried egg added made the dish. The yolk on the rice was so comforting. The hot broth served on the side was delicious and nourishing. Regardless of a few shortcomings I’d still revisit this place.
