Pho Le Restaurant is a Vietnamese restaurant on Dorchester Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts, serving diners at 1356 Dorchester Ave, Boston, MA 02122. Located in Dorchester, an area customers associate with Boston’s Little Saigon, it offers a local place to enjoy Vietnamese food, whether you live nearby or are exploring the neighborhood. Customer feedback highlights generous portions, friendly service, and food described as true Vietnamese cooking. The restaurant has a 4.3-star rating from 1,075 reviews, offering useful context from a substantial number of diners while recognizing that individual experiences can vary.

Pho is a standout choice in the customer comments: one diner described it as some of the best pho they had enjoyed in a while and praised the service alongside it. Fried chicken wings also received a positive mention, with a reviewer calling them delicious. Other diners describe the food as flavorful and the portions as generous, making Pho Le a practical option for a filling meal. Reviews also mention Vietnamese coffee as decent. These comments offer a glimpse of the menu without suggesting that every dish or visit will be the same; for a specific craving, it is sensible to check directly with the restaurant about current offerings.

The experience sounds casual and welcoming for different kinds of visits, from a meal with friends or family to a pickup order. A reviewer who regularly orders a pork dish for pickup also reported a serious concern about the quality of the pork on more than one occasion. That feedback is worth keeping in mind, especially for takeout, and reflects why customer experiences may differ. Other reviews praise attentive, kind staff, and one diner specifically noted that the dining area and restroom were clean. Feedback is not uniformly positive: some comments describe dim lighting or concerns about how vegetables were handled near diners. Taken together, the reviews give a balanced picture rather than a promise of a perfect visit.

Pho Le Restaurant is open daily, with hours listed as 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.–10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Its Dorchester Avenue address makes it a convenient neighborhood stop for Boston residents and visitors looking for Vietnamese cuisine, a bowl of pho, or fried chicken wings. If you are comparing Vietnamese restaurants in Dorchester or searching for a local place with dine-in and pickup experiences mentioned by customers, Pho Le is one option to consider. Check the latest hours and menu details before heading over, as restaurant information and offerings can change.

I usually order bún đậu mắm tôm for pickup, but this issue has happened more than once. The pork has come out brownish, dry, and with a smell, clear signs that it’s old boiled meat that’s been sitting too long. Of course, that part is completely inedible, so I had to throw it away. Since this has happened a few times, I made sure to ask for fresh meat this time. The person who answered the phone told me the kitchen only has one type of meat, so even if I request it, it’s all the same. That answer didn’t sit right with me. When I picked up the order, I explained that saying something like that basically sounds like telling customers “it is what it is.” It feels like I just have to accept the risk whether they feel like giving me fresh meat or old meat. When you’re selling food, you should care about quality. People are paying for it, and the boiled pork is the main part of the dish if that’s not edible, of course I’m going to be upset. The issue is that sometimes they give fresh meat, and sometimes they give old meat. If it was truly only one type, I wouldn’t be complaining. In the end, the staff just repeated that the kitchen only has one type of meat and asked me to understand. I told her I had already shared my opinion and didn’t want to make things difficult for her. I understand her situation, but not the kitchen’s. It’s a family-run place, it’s not like people wouldn’t notice. When a customer points out a problem, there wasn’t even an apology or any effort to fix it. Instead, it felt like they were trying to push the customer away by giving me a piece full of fat like this. That’s just not right.

The fried chicken wings were delicious! The staff, especially the gentleman in the blue shirt, was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant and restroom were very clean. Highly recommend!

As one of the most famous restaurants in Dorchester, the "Boston Little Saigon", of course it would serve authentic and affordable Vietnamese cuisine attractive to both local immigrants and Cantonese in the Chinatown nearby. …

Good Pho I had for a while and good services. Restroom was clean but staff was picking vegetables in front of customers and dropped the bad vegetables all around the floor while customer are eating. Not too professional staff, restaurant lightning too dark but the foods and coffee are decent.
