Phở Lemongrass is a Vietnamese restaurant at 239 Harvard St in Brookline, MA, in the heart of Coolidge Corner. It is a neighborhood option for Vietnamese dishes, including pho, vermicelli bowls, summer rolls, and noodle dishes. Customer feedback describes a relaxed, quiet setting and generous portions, while also showing that experiences can vary. With a 4.1-star rating from 439 reviews, the restaurant has drawn both loyal praise for flavorful meals and some criticism of food and service. That mix makes recent reviews useful when deciding whether it suits a particular visit.
Pho is a recurring favorite among customers who appreciate a clear, carefully seasoned broth. Reviewers describe it as flavorful without being overly salty or oily, and mention brisket pho among the choices, though one diner found the brisket dry. The restaurant may appeal to people who prefer a lighter-tasting broth and want a comforting Vietnamese noodle soup in Brookline. If salt level matters to you, one reviewer specifically appreciated a meal that delivered flavor with less salt; individual preferences and results, of course, may differ.
Other dishes customers mention include bun salad, fresh vermicelli, summer rolls served with peanut sauce, and a child's noodle dish. Positive reviews highlight vermicelli that stays fresh rather than overcooked, along with satisfying portions and meals that work for different appetites at the table. One customer praised the summer rolls and peanut sauce, while another enjoyed sharing a family meal that included pho and noodles. These comments offer useful clues for guests looking beyond soup, without suggesting that every dish will suit every palate.
The setting is described in mixed but specific terms: some diners find it quiet, sober, and relaxing, while others describe a no-frills dining room and have raised concerns about cleanliness, upkeep, or service attentiveness. Food reviews also differ, ranging from strongly positive comments about flavor to complaints of bland or greasy dishes. Phở Lemongrass may be worth considering for a casual Vietnamese meal around Coolidge Corner, especially if pho or vermicelli is what you are seeking; guests who prioritize polished surroundings or consistently attentive service may want to read current feedback before visiting. The listed address is 239 Harvard St, Brookline, MA 02446.

We loved Lemongrass! Our preference is always LESS salt, more flavor and Lemongrass nailed the assignment. Loved the bun salad, pho, summer rolls with peanut sauce and our daughter’s noodle dish. Delicious Vietnamese food, generous portions and relaxing authentic vibes in the heart of Coolidge Corner.
No frill place. Best pho in town, clear broth with no oil floating around like other places in town and tasty without being salty. Vermicelli is always fresh and not over done. Flavor 10/10! Never had a bad dish here.
Choosing this restaurant for dinner was a huge mistake. It smells musty. And the place is in dire need of a rehab, or a proper cleaning. The food came quickly but it was all bland, greasy and flavorless. My pad thai had the Ramen noodles rather than flat noodles, was marginally edible. We left sad and still hungry. Paid the bill and left. We won't be back. The pictures are a LIE. My pad thai was beige, no life no color no flavor. It was the culinary equivalent of a room temperature glass of water.
A nice place that gives you a fine dining feel at an affordable price. The food was good but the brisket in the Pho was a bit dry. Ambiance was quiet and sober.
genuinely some of the worst service i have ever received at a restaurant - after i ordered, the server only dropped off food, didn’t speak and walked away immediately and did not stop back to refill empty drinks or ask if everything was good. as a server myself, this was disappointing, especially because i could have used a refill on my drink and some more lime for my pho 🙃 despite this, the food was amazing so i will return to give it another shot.
