Very good place, everything was fresh. I liked that they offered us tea right after we sat down. They have great portions. We got a platter of spring and summer rolls and they were really good. Broths were good honestly a solid choice to spend some family time eating something nutritious. Suprisingly even if they were busy they were attentive. Only downside is their drinks were not it for me.

Do not order the short rib pho. For $30 their short rib is inedible and we tried to chew on it and it was impossible to chew on it. The waiter just told me it was how it was made which is ridiculous. If we can’t even tear the meat off the bone. See the picture. Where the blood is coagulated it was super dry and stringy.

The pho here is by far the best in the area. They are also very generous with their portions and the condiments - Thai basil, chili peppers, bean sprouts, lime and so on. So good and a huge selection of other delicious items to choose from if pho isn’t your thing. Highly recommend.

I have dined at Pho So 1 in Quincy many times and have left five-star reviews in the past because it has always been one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. Unfortunately, today’s experience was extremely disappointing. My sister found a plastic lid/cap in her bowl of rice noodles. We immediately informed our waiter. Instead of apologizing or focusing on resolving the situation, he came back and showed us photos from the kitchen, explaining that the lid had accidentally fallen into the bowl before the noodles and soup were added, trying to prove that it was “clean.” Whether the lid was clean or not completely misses the point. A foreign object should never end up in a customer’s food. What disappointed me even more was the lack of empathy and accountability. There was no sincere apology, no attempt to remove that dish from our bill, and we were still charged the full price. To top it off, a 20% gratuity was automatically added. I’ve always recommended this restaurant to friends and family, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Mistakes can happen, but how a restaurant responds to those mistakes says everything about how much they value their customers. Sadly, this experience has made me reconsider coming back.
