Pho Van

This is absolutely a GEM. I have only been twice... in 1 week 🤣. I usually have photos but it smelled so good inside that I couldn't wait to eat once I got home. Both times we ordered the short rib pho and gyoza. The broth definately had an amazingly flavoraful taste. (one to come back for again and again... which we did) Plenty of meat on the short rib and all at an understandable price. It's THEE best pho I have had since moving here. I will be dining in soon to at least add a photo this time ;)... To top it off everyone here (that I encountered) treat you like family. Highly recommend!!!

Pho 8.3/10 - Though delicious, it was not the best I have tried or my favorite. Is it authentic? Very probable but I have tried some others with an even deeper broth flavor, larger size, and more ingredients (including more beef!). I felt that the broth could be more fragrant and needed a bit more flavor and slightly more salt. It was indeed flavorful but I have tried others that were better. It actually didn't have that much beef either, so that was disappointing. The portion size was nice. Compared to other pho around the country, it's a 7/10.Is it good for the Charlotte area? Yes, probably. I still liked it. Bo lu lac (Shaking beef) (#49) 8.7/10 - a very tasty and nice preparation of shaking beef! I think the portion size is slightly less than average but it's fine. One of the things I liked most was the addition of battered fries. They were super flavorful, crunchy, and paired beautifully with everything else. The beef was tender, flavorful, and nicely soaked up the sauce's flavors. The plate was actually quite saucy and the sauce had good flavor. I think if it could add more wok hei and more defined umami flavors, it could be one of the best I have ever tried.It also is not as complete as the other ones I have been served which have more vegetables. Still has good flavor and I love the incorporation of battered fries. Though not many, they add that super lovely crunch to the beef. Makes it an even better flavor experience. Regardless, it's still a very delicious plate and I highly recommend it. Lemongrass chicken 6/10 - I did not like this one. The lemongrass flavor is there, but the chicken does not pick up much other flavor. It's got a lot of vegetables and ingredients but no true flavor. It is more of like a soup at the bottom with noodles, and none of it has flavor to share.

Some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. Plus the staff are so efficient and pleasant. Management even took the time to introduce themselves and learn more about me. I plan on coming back every time I’m in Charlotte. Outstanding experience with great prices too.

Stopped at Pho Van after a long day at Carowinds. The food and service were amazing! They seated our table of nine and took great care of us. Staff were very attentive and kind. The vermicelli bowl was refreshing and the pho broth was well balanced and clean. Will come back when we visit Charlotte!!!

Exceptional service, he’s able to take our party of 5’s order by memory. He’s was incredibly accommodating for the kids and very sweet to them Food was delicious. Korean barbecue, Fried rice, and pho were all 10/10
