I stopped by Pickle Banh Mi Co on Brookhurst and tried their Bánh Mì Đặc Biệt and the Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng, both were fantastic! The bread was perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, and the fillings were flavorful and generous. The combo banh mi had that classic balance of savory cold cuts, pate, and pickled veggies, while the grilled pork was juicy, well-seasoned, and so satisfying. I actually came back the very next day and grabbed their bánh cuốn ready boxes ($9) and those were equally great! Fresh, tasty, and honestly a really good value for the quality and portion size. The shop is clean, service is quick and friendly, and everything tastes freshly made with care. Definitely one of the better spots for Vietnamese food in Garden Grove. Highly recommend!

Place has 4 tables. 6 counter seats. Saturday 2 pm. Was out of most of their coffee, banana pandan Ube all gone. Counter seating was available, tables were all taken. Spring rolls, and other Vietnamese dishes are available. From rice plates, soups, ranging from 7-12 . Coffee is$6 and other drinks are 5.50. Coffee was strong, bitterness hidden by a lot of sugar. Foam was surprisingly sweet and fluffy Bahn mi was okay. Bread was solid. Meat, was whatever. BUT that's probably because I sipped on the coffee while waiting for the sandwich. I'll have to come back and try it again. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat or drink here, but stop by over Starbucks if I was in the area Solid choice Ordered grilled pork bahn mi and creme brulee coffee.

Worst banh mi I’ve ever had. I’ve had some crappy ones but this one took the cake. I had the #1. Bread was so over baked. It was as if they reheated yesterday’s batch of bread in the oven and gave THE MOST crumbly mouth cutting thing I’ve ever eaten. Cucumbers were turning bitter which means they were not fresh at all. Cilantro was turning bitter as well. Another indicator or freshness or lack thereof. Pate had no flavor and was mushy nothingness. The meat was indistinguishable. The pickles had no flavor. Lastly, I had the THICKEST JALAPENO OF MY LIFE. Terrible all around. Here’s a tip…taste your ingredient and ensure DECENT quality. People are struggling and using our hard earned money on crappy food is the best way to drive away customers.

Visiting Disneyland and was craving Banh Mi. Found this place using Google Maps. Service was ok, young man working the front who took the order seemed tired, and probably was as he left after I placed my order. Th rest of the staff I interacted with weren’t friendly but weren’t unfriendly, just somewhere in gray zone. The Roasted Pork Banh Mi was the best I had in a very long time and worth another trip back. The pork was tender, very flavorful and not too fatty. The bread was crispy on the outside, but not so crispy as to make a mess on the table, the bread was chewy on the inside, just perfect. I ordered vegetarian spring rolls as well, the last of the day ad I was told, they are pre made, and definitely had been made much earlier as the rice paper wrapper were dried out and crunchy in places. Still with dipping sauce they were good.

Crispy Tumeric Fish in a Banh Mi???? OH HECK YEAH! The fish was not too crispy, which allowed the sandwich to be easy to bite. The baguette was soooo good too. The fish was not too heavily seasoned, but INSTEAD has a delicious creamy aioli and cabbage that pairs. Surprisingly really loved this. I recommend trying #15 Ca Thang Long Chien! Not a classic banh mi, but surely a unique one I would come back for. I loved that this is accessible via drive thru too. Too convenient!
