Pickup Please - Free Donation Pickup in Harahan is a donations center serving people in Harahan, Louisiana, at 5728 Jefferson Hwy, Harahan, LA 70123. Its name highlights a free donation pickup option, which can be useful when you have reusable items to give away but would rather not transport them yourself. The listing is relevant for local residents looking to donate clothing, household goods, or other items, though accepted items and pickup arrangements should be confirmed directly before setting anything out. The location is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., giving donors several opportunities to plan a visit or coordinate a donation.

Customer feedback describes a mix of experiences. Some reviewers say donations were collected as scheduled and describe the process as straightforward: items were placed in a box or plastic bag near the front door with a note identifying them for pickup. One reviewer said the driver usually arrived before noon on the appointment date. Other customers report missed pickups, limited communication, or items that could not be accepted, so it is sensible to confirm the appointment and clarify item guidelines ahead of time. These differing accounts matter when planning around a pickup, especially if donations need to be removed by a particular day.

Reviews also mention a clean, well-organized store and friendly employees, alongside positive experiences donating and shopping over a period of years. That feedback may be helpful for people who prefer to bring items in person or want to explore the store, although experiences can vary. If you are sorting a household, clearing out clothing, or passing along usable goods, prepare items neatly and label anything left for collection. For larger, fragile, or specialized objects, ask whether they can be accepted rather than assuming every item will fit the pickup guidelines.

Pickup Please in Harahan may suit individuals and families seeking a convenient local donation option, as well as people who appreciate having both pickup and in-person possibilities to investigate. The business has a 3.6-star rating from 13 reviews, reflecting a range of customer experiences rather than a uniformly positive record. Before making plans, contact the business to verify current pickup availability, eligible donations, and the best way to leave items. With expectations confirmed in advance, donors can make a more informed choice about whether this Harahan donations center fits their needs.

Please find another organization to donate too!! Had a pick up scheduled and THEY NEVER SHOWED UP OR COMMUNICATED THEY WERENT COMING!! As a child of a Veteran I believed in their good faith and they were a let down! We also spoke to them several times through the day of delivery and no one could relay a time frame with the local pick up center.

My husband and I have donated and shopped for years. Sweetest employees. Stores are clean and well organized. I accidentally left my favorite hubby's shirt that I stole from him. I used it as a "sweater" and placed it on a box while setting out donations, it fell in. When I realized my "error", I called and was able to eventually found and purchased it back. They offered to give it to me, but it was worth so much more to me.. Still have the shirt and wear it frequently.

I scheduled an Uptown pickup. Waited a week. Driver came today to tell me he could not take some of the objects that were not reusable. The lot included 30 men's shirts and suits, vintage tools, some power year equipment, nine gilded early xx century picture frames, a thick new glass vase, an aquarium with stand, filters, etc., a bicycle stand, baskets, etc. etc. I went outside as he left to see that he left over 50% and frankly the most valuable of the objects. I called the dispatcher who explained that he took pictures of the objects so the manager could chose what to take. BEWARE OF THIS CHERRY-PICKING. I had to load the remainder in my car. Goodwill accepted all gladly. TR

They do a good job of picking up donations. The donations should be in a plastic bag or a box. We place them by the front door with a taped note saying that this is for pickup. They usually pick up before noon on the date of the appointment. It's all for a good cause.
