Plato's Closet

Hi there! First time shopper at any Plato’s Closet. Typically I do not shop at thrift clothing stores but hearing a lot about the store I decided to stop by. There was a nice guy heading in the door before me and he held the door open that was nice. Once I got in there were two young ladies working at the front counter with no guess checking out at all they were completely unoccupied. I was not greeted or welcomed into the store so that threw me off. I looked around for a bit about 30 minutes browsing around and while I was shopping there were more than a few consumers to come in. These two young ladies greeted and welcomed every customer that came in after me. And that really rubbed me the wrong way. Will I be back I’m sure I won’t did I make a purchase no I didn’t. Could I have I absolutely could have. Just hearing “hi welcome in” to everyone that entered the store behind me gave me bad vibes. Please find more enthusiastic employees thank you.

Much easier to buy and sell here than Uptown. Glad I made the stop before heading home. The store is packed with clothes and the girls there seem to be working hard to keep up with the amount of inventory. Skipped the shoes but found a lot of name brand clothes in great condition. It also only took them less than 15 minutes to look through my items so I wasn’t waiting hours.

I went here today for the first time. I brought in three large bags completely filled with clothes and they told me that they couldn't buy any of them because of the style; I had Nike, brand new clothes with the tag still on - really? I even bought two pairs of jeans in hope of getting a discount on the trade-in value from my stuff. Place itself is nice but the only thing that doesn't make any sense are the dressing rooms. No bench to sit on and each door is locked inside dressing rooms, so you have to get one of the people up front to open it for you. The Plato's in Webster always takes a few items that I drop off. Will not come back to this store.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service I received. While I was waiting in line to pay behind another person who was being helped, the cashier turned around and started talking with her coworkers. After finishing with the person in front of me, she did not acknowledge me or even say that I should wait a moment while she continued her conversation. I consider this behavior unprofessional and it created a very poor customer experience. In addition, the staff working there were quite rude and not welcoming. I hope this situation can be taken into consideration and that improvements can be made to the customer service, since respectful and professional attention is essential to providing customers with a positive experience.

Love love selling here, the girls that were working today, amazing and so sweet! All of these reviews about the employees were not true at all, they were so kind and helpful. I’ve sold here twice and each time made more than 140 bucks. Yall need to relax and realize they sell towards older teens and young 20’s, also name brand stuff like American eagle and Lulu, so yalls 80 tee shirt probably won’t sell like how a Lulu shirt will today. When I sell I think about brands, size, condition, and season! Mainly, yall need to calm down on these girls because at the end of the day they are working for a check not for yall to yell at them! But if your thinking about selling here, you should!
