My nails are SHORT. I get gel nails. Nancy never hurts me when taking off my gels or filing my nails, other places (that sometimes I have to go to if I can't get an appt with Nancy because of me not her) make excuses with my short nails. Also Nancy detaches my nails from the polish after she puts the gel on, the other places I have had to try don't do that. ALSO! In order to keep your nails nicer, Nancy doesn't soak off my gels all the time. SO MANY REASONS to go to Nancy. If you KNOW gel and your nails. It's SO worth the time and small extra cost to go to Nancy. Her salon is not a regular salon, it does require an appointment, and is very high caliber. She knows everyone by name and exactly what they want etc. And she is oh SO lovely of a person.

A salon boutique! When you walk into Polished, you feel relaxation seeping through you with old school soul music in the background. Extra touches are the cute basins of water to soak your feet. This is the best pedicure appointment I have had in Alameda!!! No more lines of spa chairs for me when you feel like you are in a fast food nail salon. This is a spa-like experience. Because of its boutique size, appts are a month in advance. Plan ahead and you will be hooked.

I cannot rave enough about Nancy & her team at Polished! They take their work so seriously, especially when it comes to cleanliness and perfectionism. During the COVID closures, Nancy even refused to open outdoors because she felt that it wasn't sanitary enough for her standards. Nancy truly cares about her customers, placing safety over profits. I also used her as my makeup artist for my wedding and she did an AMAZING job. I got so many compliments! Not only is she fantastic at this service, she is an artist through and through. Her nail designs are top notch perfect. To add onto all of this, she's a great person to chat with, never a dull moment! Highly recommend Polished & Nancy's team anytime you want manicures, pedicures, waxing, lash extensions, etc.. They do it all!

Best nail spa on the island. It’s not the ‘nail mill’ like many others but don’t let the small space fool you. You will get better, more personalized, and very sanitary, care with an artistic flair!
