Portland Cà Phê is a Vietnamese coffee shop in Portland, OR, at 2601 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97212. It brings Vietnamese coffee traditions to a bright, welcoming café setting, with drinks served hot and iced. Customer reviews describe natural light and an inviting space, making it a comfortable stop to enjoy a coffee, meet a friend, or take a pause during the day. The shop has a 4.6-star rating from 193 reviews, offering local visitors a helpful snapshot of other customers’ experiences.
Coffee is at the heart of the menu. Reviewers highlight the traditional Vietnamese phin, a slow-drip brewing method associated with the country’s café culture, and praise the roasted beans’ flavor. Customers also mention house-roasted coffee and a range of hot and iced drinks. If you enjoy a creamy, distinctive coffee, the coconut crème latte is one customer favorite; another review mentions a coconut oat milk latte. The ube drink has also caught a customer’s attention. As with any café, individual tastes can differ: some reviewers have found particular espresso or latte drinks less consistent, so experiences may vary by order.
For something to eat alongside a drink, Portland Cà Phê serves banh mi, including a grilled pork option mentioned by customers. Reviews describe the sandwich as enjoyable while noting that one diner would have preferred more meat. That kind of practical feedback can help you decide what to order and set expectations. Pairing coffee with a banh mi makes the café a useful choice for a light meal, a casual breakfast, or a coffee break, without requiring a formal dining occasion.
The atmosphere is another part of the appeal. Reviewers describe a bright interior with plenty of natural light and relaxed café vibes. That setting suits people looking for a place to sit with a drink, catch up with a friend, or add a little Vietnamese coffee tradition to their Portland routine. Whether you prefer a slow-drip phin coffee, a flavored latte, or an iced drink, the menu offers options to explore. Feedback is not uniformly glowing, so consider the specific drink you like and keep in mind that espresso-based drinks may be a matter of personal preference.

Update 08/09/2026: After going there more, I'm decreasing my rating. I orded a plain latte the other day. The coffee had extreme burnt and ashy …
Portland Cà Phê is a pretty solid Vietnamese café. They brew their coffee using the traditional slow-drip phin, just like in Vietnam, and you can tell the beans are well roasted with good flavor. The space itself is bright and welcoming, with lots of natural light that makes it a nice place to sit and enjoy your coffee. Overall, a decent spot if you’re into Vietnamese coffee.
I got the coconut creme latte and it was incredible, just like the one I had in Vietnam. Amazing flavor. I also got the grilled pork banh mi it was good I only wish It had a bit more meat overall it was a 4/5
Great vibes and natural lighting alongside very smooth authentic Vietnamese coffee roasted in house. So refreshing and delicious with a variety of iced and hot coffees. I ordered a coconut oat milk coffee latte Highly recommend their coffee drinks. We ordered their bahn mi and the meat was slightly over salted. I went to the original location two years ago and loved visiting this second cafe location! Service was neutral as the barista was not as welcoming as we got our orders taken.
Coffee here was ok. I wanted to like it more, but my espresso was not good so I ordered another drink after and that was.. okay. Hit or miss it seems but coffee isn't the strongest (not as strong as traditional vietnamese coffee is anyway). Tried my friend's ube drink though and that was tasty (had good ube flavor). Had to dock another star though unfortunately because my coffee took so long to get to me - my friends had gotten their drinks AND all finished their coffees already, and still I had to wait another 10 minutes for mine... felt like it took like 25 minutes total..? It was so long my friends kept asking and we had other places to be - it shouldn't have taken that long. It wasnt busy at all, there was maybe one other customer waiting for drinks the same time as me, and two or three people I saw working/making drinks.
