Instead of treating appointments like a quick in-and-out stop, the team is often described as patient and thorough, which can make a real difference for anyone who values precision and a more personalized experience.

Another reason this Los Angeles nail salon gets attention is its appeal for clients who are selective about ingredients and product quality. Organic product requests have also been mentioned positively by customers. Amy and Candy did an amazing job! First, Amy got me in SO last minute. I was traveling and needed to get book and she got my a spot very quickly. Super nice and accommodating. Nails were 10/10, they explained their process and were very detailed. Usually, you’re just in and out of a place, they took their time to actually do my nails which I appreciate. I got both a pedicure and a manicure. Also, I love their booking service because you know exactly what you’re going to be paying for ahead of time. Sharing a few pics but they did an amazing job and they were very nice, too! I don’t live here but any time I visit, I’ll come and I’ll recommend to anyone who asks!

Beware. TLDR; I spent $100 to lose my big toenail. I went to Powder Beauty on Feb 1st for a no-polish pedicure. I had an existing gel polish on my feet. The nail technician used a rotary burr (a machine sanding tool) to remove my gel polish, vs removing it with acetone. After the pedicure I noticed 2 of my toe nails were damaged, one had yellowed since the beginning of the pedicure and another had bruising. As time progressed the damage got worse with the nail thickening and crumbling. Yesterday, a podiatrist had to remove half of my toenail. He said the technician damaged my nail plate and cuticle and moisture entered my nail, which is why it yellowed immediately after the pedicure. Like cardboard or wood that gets wet, the layers continue to separate until it completely separates from the nail bed. He said he sees this from improper pedicures all the time. At least it wasn't fungus which I was very scared they might have given me, but he confirmed it is just the plate damage. It will take almost 1 year to have a normal nail again. Photos are my toenails in the shop, immediately after the pedicure with visible damage. 1 month later. Aftermath of damage once podiatrist had to cut away the damage.

I am so relieved to have finally found this place! As someone who has struggled with reactions to nail products in the past, I am extremely particular about the ingredients used. This salon is a true gem for non-toxic nail care in DTLA. They exclusively use high-end Japanese and Korean products that are Hema-free, and they avoid all those harsh chemicals you find in typical salons. My nails look gorgeous, but more importantly, they feel healthy and strong . The atmosphere is exactly what I needed. It’s a super clean, high-end space—I’m talking hospital-level sanitizing—but it feels like a luxury spa. It’s never crowded, so you don’t feel rushed or overwhelmed. The nail tech was incredibly welcoming and took the time to actually care about the health of my nails, which felt more like therapy than a simple chore. You can tell the staff is genuinely passionate about nail health, much like the specialists mentioned at other top DTLA spots . They also offer a nice location with 2 hours of free parking, which is basically a miracle in downtown. Just make sure to validate your ticket at the front desk. If you are looking for a clean, healthy, and luxurious nail experience, look no further.
