Prettify Me

Edit: Kieu is the best!!! Thanks again for always giving me the prettiest sets hehe. Prettifyme is always spot on! No matter what nail tech you’re with, they always do a great job and take care of you. The salon itself is very clean and bright, and the staff are all very friendly and kind. The retention is also great! I’ve never had issues with chipping or had any nails come off, and I usually keep sets for well over a month before getting a new set. Thank you guys for always doing a great job :)

I do not recommend this nail salon. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to both the quality of service and lack of professionalism. I asked for them to remove my gel x nails and get a new set. When applying the extensions, she repeatedly squeezed the nails down so hard that glue overflowed onto my skin and fingers. When the glue would get onto my skin she would clean it off with her finger and then hold my hand after and all my fingers were sticky with glue. I told her not to squeeze my nail so hard and not to get the glue all over my fingers but she said she would clean it after. (A proper application of gel x does not have every single finger covered in glue) When she finished my right hand and moved to the left hand the nail wasn’t sticking to my nail and it was clear she did not know how to properly apply gel x nails. The nails were applied unevenly and onto my skin. I asked for someone else and she cut off my nails and I got another nail tech. This nail tech had to remove my nails and scrape the glue off my fingers (because it was applied horribly). So now my nails were sensitive. When she put them to the light they would burn and she did not listen to me when I was explaining they burned because I had two sets removed in one sitting so they were sensitive. She kept trying to pull my nail back into the light even though I told her it burned. I left with still some glue on my hands. The application of the nails is clear that they lack experience. The nails ended up being okay and I was there for over 2 hours. For $85 for a removal and a plain Gel-X set with no designs, I expected much better service and quality.

I have been coming to see Minh for a few years now, I even followed her from her previous studio to Prettify Me here in Hayward. That alone says everything about how talented she is. Prettify Me has an incredible selection of colors. It’s honestly the biggest collection of jelly and cat eye polishes I’ve ever seen. The salon is spotless, all the equipment is brand new, and everything is single-use, which I really appreciate. But the biggest asset to Prettify Me is Minh. She is hands down the most talented nail tech I’ve ever had. Nail shape? Immaculate. 3D designs? Effortless. Quality of art? Absolutely out of this world. Her 3D artwork is truly the best I’ve seen. She has never once let me down, and I always walk out beyond happy with my nails. Thank you, Minh, for always bringing my crazy designs and last-minute details to life! 💅✨

Hands down the BEST new salon in the area! From the time of booking the appointment we even got a confirmation text which was awesome and made everything so easy. My friend and I went for the first time and had an amazing experience from start to finish. We were offered drinks right away and the owner was there personally greeting everyone and making us feel sooooo welcomed. The salon itself is beautiful. Everything is brand new, spotless, and smells so clean. I loved that there was absolutely no monomer smell like other salons. The pedicure and manicure areas are separated which makes it feel even more relaxing. The pedicure chairs are amazing with built in phone chargers & remotes conveniently placed on the sides of the arm rests. Rachel and Vanessa did our pedicures and they were incredible. So detailed, professional, and friendly. Honestly, everyone there was beyond nice & made the whole experience so enjoyable. They even have a point reward system which is such a great perk. I left feeling super pampered and highly satisfied. If you want a fresh, clean, and welcoming place for nails this is it.

They’re overly priced for the quality that you get. They don’t know variety of nail shapes. I always ask for tapered square and they end up giving me coffin. I truly hate my nails for what I paid this is completely unacceptable. They so charge $10 for fixing nails when I always pay $5. The prices they charge take away from the ability to give a good tip
