Reviews describe varied experiences, so it is helpful to confirm the service and details you want before your appointment. One customer visited for a gel manicure and pedicure ahead of a wedding; after the manicure began peeling soon after, the salon reportedly fixed the issue. Other reviewers praise a nail artist named Candice for detailed, efficient work and nail art sets that last. At the same time, some customers report concerns about durability, service availability, or being nicked during a manicure. These differing accounts offer a realistic picture: experiences can vary, and clear communication about your requested service matters.
For anyone considering Raw Lab Spa, the reviews suggest confirming that the right technician is available for the service you booked, especially for a specific option such as Gel-X. One regular customer notes that the salon does not charge extra for dip removal or nail shapes, though policies and prices can change, so checking directly is sensible. Some visitors also mention appointments running behind, making a little flexibility useful if you have plans afterward.

Was excited to book online for a Monday morning appointment. When at the salon I confirmed what service I was having done (gel-x the appointment I booked online) and I was told the person who does that what not there that day. I proceeded to get a regular gel manicure and was knicked on five different fingers when my cuticles were trimmed.. which was seen when I flinched numerous times. Nails came out okay but was upset to not get the service I booked and to now have five different little cuts on my fingers…
Candice does my nails extremely well and they last so long! I’ve been having my past few appointments with her and she is speedy and detailed! I would recommend getting your next artsy set with her!
I never used to get my nails done. Ever. But I came here because it's around the corner from my place and I wanted a gel mani/pedi before my best friend's wedding. I will say my first experience wasn't amazing, the gel started to peel in a day or two, but only the manicure. However, they fixed it when I got back to town. And I then started going in for dip powder, because I noticed the gel protected my nails at work, I just maybe needed something more durable. I now get my nails done every 2-3 weeks and I love it. I usually go to Austin or Miss Anne and I am always so happy with how simple, clean, and pretty my nails look.
I got my nails done here on December 23rd, and it’s now December 26th. I’m currently sitting here trying to glue my dip powder nail extensions back on. The day RIGHT AFTER one came off, and then 3 the next day after them only lasting three days. At first I was disappointed, but now I’m genuinely frustrated. I got my nails done on December 23rd at 3:00 PM. I Ubered there and back, and money is not easy to come by these days. I spent $100 (80 for the nails, 20 dollar tip) on the nails, plus transportation, for a service that ended up not being worth that amount. Candice did my nails, and she is a friend of mine. Based on her nail posts, I was extremely excited to get my nails done by her. Her designs are intricate, and she has worked with big brands, so I genuinely thought what I was asking for would be simple in comparison. I asked for a holographic design with a rainbow gradient, and immediately she warned me that she didn’t think she could do that. At first I was understanding, especially since I openly shared that I hadn’t gotten my nails done in a while, so I wanted to give her grace. However, part of me was confused because I’ve seen her do very complex designs before. After she finished her previous client, it was my turn. The length of the nails was perfect, but when she finished, my cuticles weren’t even pushed back. They looked messy and already had the appearance of outgrown nails. What makes this more upsetting is that these nails were done for an event. A nail artist should take pride in their work, whether the client is a friend or a stranger. The final result should match the standards shown in her nail photos. During my appointment, she mentioned that she had somewhere to go after me and wanted to avoid traffic. Although she said she never wants to rush her clients, the service itself LOOKED rushed. I communicated this and showed her a photo of a nail coming off after simply buckling my seatbelt. She did give me a partial refund of $50, which I was grateful for. However, since then, two more nails have come off just from unwrapping Christmas gifts, which has added to my frustration. None of the nails she posts look as messy as mine did. It makes me feel like the quality of my service was lower because we already knew each other, which is disappointing. I expected the same level of care and professionalism shown in her other work, and unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision, and I hope this feedback is taken as constructive rather than personal.
My go to nail spot in the city and I’ve been coming for almost 2 years! They don’t charge extra for dip removal, or for shapes, or any of that BS. They do sometimes run slightly behind schedule which is really not their fault given it’s a customer centered service so just anticipate some buffer room around your appointment. Not a huge deal to me personally. I love getting my dip nails done here, Ivy and Ms Ann are soo careful and precise, they really pay attention to detail which is so appreciated. They never rush and make sure you’re fully satisfied! I will say I didn’t have the greatest experience with Austin, my nails came out lumpy and uneven even though I could tell he was taking his time and really trying. Overall I will always come back and recommend this place, especially for dip nails (their specialty)
