Red Lotus Spa & Nails LLC is a nail salon at 4610 Cedar Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19143. The salon offers nail services including gel manicures, pedicures, French tips, nail designs, polish changes, and acrylic additions to toenails. If you are comparing nail salons in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this location may suit a visit for a manicure or pedicure, with service options that range from a simple polish change to more detailed nail art. Its posted hours are 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, making it possible to plan a weekday or weekend appointment or visit. Confirm current availability and service pricing with the salon before you go.

Customer feedback is mixed. The business has a 4-star rating from 645 reviews, and individual experiences described by customers vary in both service and results. Some reviewers say their nails or toes looked pretty, and one customer specifically praised owner Roxy. Other reviews raise concerns about uneven or chunky results, a nail breaking soon after service, and pedicure work that did not meet expectations. These details are useful context when choosing a salon: a positive experience for one customer does not guarantee the same result for everyone, and the reviews suggest that service quality can depend on the appointment and the service provider.

A few reviews also point to communication and pricing as areas to clarify. Customers have described feeling uncomfortable with comments about their feet or nails, and one reviewer questioned the final charges for design work and a toe polish change. If you want French tips, flowers, acrylic additions, or another add-on, ask what is included and what it will cost before work begins. You can also explain your preferred shape, finish, and design in advance, and speak up if you feel pressure to choose a service you did not request. Clear expectations may help make the visit more comfortable and avoid surprises at checkout.

For gel services, consider discussing removal and nail condition before the appointment, especially if you want to return to bare nails. One reviewer reported thin, sensitive nails after gel removal with an e-file; that account reflects one customer's experience, but it makes a practical question worth raising. Ask how removal will be handled and let the technician know about sensitivity or concerns before treatment. The salon's listed services may appeal to people looking for gel polish, a pedicure, French-tip detailing, or small design accents, while those prioritizing a particular technique may want to confirm the process first.

Overall, Red Lotus Spa & Nails LLC is a neighborhood nail salon on Cedar Avenue with a broad set of manicure and pedicure options and a substantial volume of public feedback. Its 4-star rating sits alongside reviews that praise the appearance of some services and reviews that describe concerns about results, communication, or cost. It may be a fit if you are in Philadelphia and want to discuss a specific nail service, but it is sensible to confirm pricing, requested details, and removal preferences before starting. The salon is listed as open every day, with Sunday hours ending earlier than the rest of the week.

UPDATE my nails are cooked!! had gel removed to go bare and my nails are now thin and weak, breaking, painful and sensitive. Nightmare. I would not return. $40 down the drain for a gel mani that barely lasted a week. Tech damaged my nail beds removing previous mani with a e-file, got cured polish on my cuticle and skin, filed my nails super short against my instructions, and I was left with a thick, wonky mani full of air bubbles. Went here bc it was a Sunday (a week ago 4/19) and Diamond was closed. First pic is mani currently. Not even a week (6 days later) three nails on my dominant hand are chipping as well as my pointer and pinky (never had a pinky chip, ever!) on my non dominant hand. I primarily get gel so it doesn’t chip! And to serve a few purposes— to strengthen my nails so they don't break, I can grow my nails out and keep them long/strong without breakage. I came in and asked the tech if she could do a thin gel mani with thin coats and specifically to pick an opaque color for two coats. First she removed previous polish (soft builder gel, not hard gels) using an efile. Idk why anyone thinks this is alright-- a file or efile should be used to scuff the top coat; never going further down filing off the gel than the base coat. Perhaps they do this at Red Lotus to save time, but they were dead, not busy at all. (IMO it’s bad business, as it is terrible for your nail beds. It weakens, thins them and makes them sensitive. They should take their time, soak off, use a metal scraper, still bad if used aggressively, and a buffing block and gently removing the previous mani.) I should have insisted on an acetone soak, lesson learned. At the time my nails were long grown out 2 to 3 weeks. Itech asked if I wanted them cut down. I said filed and shaped squoval square oval, but to keep the length. I watched as she began to file down my nails shorter. I asked her to stop and keep the length and just shape them 2-3 times. she kept filing away. I explained that I was a bartender and I needed the length at work to open can tabs. she shortened them considerably, leaving me with stubby nails. Also she filed all of my nails on one hand ever so slightly CROOKED, and my thumbs in a diff shape more rounded less square than the rest of my nails. Again infuriating. But whatever, my nails grow fast. She grabbed the color I picked and began, it was clear the bottle was old, not fresh. It had thickened and needed thinner. The final result? The gel was sloppy, uneven and looked like crap on many nails at the base and on the sides of my nail beds. With air bubbles or dust that stain and turn into pitting black dots. This is likely due to the gel being too thick, poor curing, or bad polish or too high humidity. any gel mani that’s not fully cured sitting on your nails is terrible for your nail beds. She cleaned up my cuticles nicely, but left many hangnails, and let polish cure on my skin, which should be removed before going into the curing lamp, as it can cause an contact dermatitis or permanent allergy. I do not expect perfection, however, if my mani had held up, and grown out without chipping—I would have lived with it, chalked it up to sloppiness, incompatibility or miscommunication w the tech, not returned, but never felt compelled to leave a poor review. YMMV dep on the tech but I wasn’t happy upon close inspection. All pics after first are from leaving salon. Last 2 pis taken 9 days into mani. All my nails are breaking as the gel chips and I have no time to get them removed or redone until this wknd. So embarassing, and gross The whole point of getting a professional gel mani is so that it won’t chip and I can go back in 2-3wks. Otherwise, I would just do my nails at home every week… I think regular polish would have lasted longer! Disappointing.

I have never had a worse experience at a nail salon. The only reason I am giving it two stars is because the owner Roxy is incredible. I went in for a standard gel manicure with a regular French tip on my toes. After the pedicure (which was done poorly) on top of the fact that she kept pushing and pushing me ti get gel on my toes after I said I didn’t want it. I went for the manicure. When the manicure began Linda kept pushing and pushing me to get tips. I have a mild allergy to acrylic so that’s not an option for me and I expressed that. I noticed the gel color I chose looked expired but I went against my gut. Once the coats were done I noticed how sloppy it looked I gave Linda the benefit of the doubt because like I said the polish was old. I asked if she could clean it up. She just kept filing. After it was done I asked her if she thought it looked good. Very politely mind you and she herself admitted it was port done so she had to redo it. She was huffing and puffing and throwing down her materials. And buffed and filed my nails so thin that I was in excruciating pain. I did not want to embarrass her so once I was done and paid I spoke to Roxy the owner and she was absolutely horrified by my nails. She immediately apologized and told me to come back to get them redone. I came back later that day to ge them done. My nails were actually sore from the red light and over filing that I opted for regular polish. Again, the new person working on my nails was pushing for acrylics and gel and I expressed my nails were too thin. She then began to complain about how rigid my nails were as if I could help that and also told me how thin my nails were as if my experience at the salon wasn’t the reason. Again I got my nails painted with 4 coats of old polish and sat under the dryer for an hour and a half. Below is a photo of my final result. My nails are thin my cuticules were over plucked to the pint that I bled twice and now I am going to have to get my nails back to where they were after this horrifying experience. The only reason I wasn’t more angry is because Roxy was so lovely nonetheless I paid 73 dollars for a gel manicure but that wasn’t even my final result meaning I paid $20 extra dollars for horrible results.

Went in for a pedicure and asked for regular polish and a blue French tip. The woman proceeded to scold me on how my nails were very short and dry. I am very self conscious of my feet and have struggled to find a solution to my dryness most of my life. So it didn’t feel good and just ruined my mood. Then she cheese grated my feet and gave me gel polish even after I asked again for regular polish. I’m going on a trip tomorrow so I just let it happen then because she didn’t understand me and I just needed to get my nails done and didn’t have time to go to another salon at this point. Overall the experience was not good and I just felt forced into what I got.

Pretty nails and toes , but got over on me bad when it came to the final price of the service . They charged me $30 in designs (French tip and one flower on each hand ) and toe polish change which was $15 just to add a little bit of acrylic to the tips of my big toes and then charged me $28 for the service itself . They did an acrylic take off on my fingers nails with a E-drill which is not safe or healthy for nail bed and charged me $15 for it . They talk you into adding additional services without being transparent about prices . Also for this to be called a spa, there was definitely no type of spa treatment . It was a regular salon experience, no thrills or frills, that was over priced. What should have been a $75-$80 bill was $138 . They are definitely swindling their clients which is not good business . I rather spend my money at an establishment that is fair, provides good service , and respects their clients . Won’t be back .

My nails came out chunky, not uniform, and overall mediocre at best. One broke after a week. The service was good up until today where I felt pushed out after connecting with another patron. I like the woman that did my nails but she’s not …
