This was my first time at this salon, and I got my natural nails done with a dip powder overlay. I also got a pedicure and the pedicure was great,10 out of 10 But the full set that I received was not good at all. First off I’m used to sitting at a table to get my nails done, but as I was getting my pedicure done, the lady came up to me to also do my nails. It was so uncomfortable having two people work on me at the same time because the lady doing my feet wanted me to sit a certain way, and the Lady doing my hands needed me to position my arms, a certain way, so I felt like I was getting pulled in different directions while the lady was completing my nails. I noticed that the shaping was off and had to ask her to fix it a few Times I explained to her that the powder she put on my nails was just too thick. I don’t think she really understood what I was telling her because she would file them down a little and ask if it was OK I got tired of repeating myself and just told her it was fine. At the end when she was completely done she put this clear coat on that stung the skin around my nails so much it left a white residue on my skin as if my skin was peeling from the chemical in the top coat. It was very uncomfortable at the end the ladies at the front desk tried to help me get it off by wiping it with acetone, which didn’t make it any better it made it sting even more. I tried scrubbing my hands with soap to get the white stuff off, but nothing worked. I think my skin reacted to the chemicals in the topcoat and began to peel. Because this was my first time going, I don’t plan on coming back simply because of the chemical peel that I’m suffering from and how uncomfortable I was during the experience.

My nail tech Nu was awesome! She did a wonderful job! My total came out to 170 for basic mani basic pedi and acrylic full set with French tip. To me that price seems off, from what I calculated it should’ve been 130 including tip, so a lot more expensive than I was expecting. They did do a nice job so I’m happy about that but I won’t be back strictly because I feel that the final price was stretched.

Went in with my niece this morning. I selected a fullset gelx. when we sat down- i told the first nail tech i wanted a design, she tells me she only has an hour to work on my hands and might not be able to do design-- so i tell her koo i can wait till theres a tech that can take her time.. we both are ok with this. the second tech comes, i show the design i want(tortoise shell on two fingers only-- the rest is like a dusty pink) she says yes she can do it. Ok -- as we move on she makes the base of the two fingers that were for the tortoise design black. i assume she knows what she doing at this point so i dnt say anything. then when shes done with everything else and has to go back to do the tortoise-- she starts to use the dusty pink on the black😩🙄🙄🙄i stop her and tell her i told her tortoise shell and it aint pink of any sort-- she asks to see the picture again-- but mind you my phone case, eyeglasses and bracelet are all tortoise shell and she says she still needs to see picture!! i tell her at that point forget it-- do a design on the black that she knows how to do -- she spends like 10minutes trying to figure A design-- im annoyed at this point. i dont know if its the comprehension skills of the design or when i said she can freestyle the two fingers because i jus want to get out at this point. And i also remind her that she said with confidence that shes done this design-- obviously she hasnt and lied. ive had this design several times and base was always brown/yellow. i tell her a couple times just put gems-- she finally listens and i select the panda and ice cream but it looks hideous on black.. i am not satisfied with the way the gelx sit on my nails. it shows my real nails on the side so that means its not even my nail size & u can also see how crooked the nail sits & shaped🙄so disappointing-- never again!!

First let me say, customer service top tier. I have absolutely no complaints about this. Service well, I got a mani and pedi. Lily did my pedi and I have to say she did excellent work. My mani was awful. I wasn’t asked if I wanted the services separate, fine we will figure it out… but the buffing, filing/shaping of my natural nail and actual paint job was horrendous. The next day I had to go back to get my nails repainted because they already started to chip and there were holes on the side of my nails where the nail polish just wasn’t added. And they kept pushing gel nails for an additional 20$. But my logic is, if you need gel and dip how could I come to you for what I actually want and will pay money for? If I was just referring to the pedicure, six stars…. However… wasn’t great. I may try again because I believe every business has bad days, but I think I’m sticking with Monica’s.
