Sign in to reviewDelicious authentic Vietnamese food, especially (& surprisingly) the com tam. The rice dish is the closest we've experienced to the com tam in Vietnam (we go to VN every year, plus we're Viet so we know about Viet food). Glad we found this mom & pop place!
The bun rieu is pretty good, but the com tam suon bi chi is real good. It's probably the closest to Vietnam I've had in the US. The suon definitely got that char smell from Vietnam and the nuoc mam is what make this dish great. The price is good, but I wish my suon was a bit bigger. Overall it's good. I'll be back in the future.
Rieu Cua Bellaire arguably has the best bun rieu noodles in the Houston area. We tried this restaurant for the first time and ordered the special bun rieu that includes sausage, crab cake, blood cake, snails, tofu, chunks of tomatoes, and vermicelli noodles. The broth was savory with a delightful crab flavor. The noodle soup is served with a side of fresh vegetables, including banana blossoms, which are not often offered as a garnish in many Vietnamese noodle restaurants these days. The service was quick and friendly. We plan to return to try their other dishes.
This place serves authentic Vietnamese noodle soup—rich, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. I ordered Large clear noodle soup with pork & pig feet; Vermicelli with fresh crab soup and it was absolutely perfect. Although the space is a bit small, the elegant green-themed decor creates a soothing and relaxing dining experience.
Anytime I want to eat vermicelli with fresh crab noodle soup (Bun Rieu Cua), I only go to this restaurant. Their Bun Rieu Cua is the best. The broth is tasty. I like their pennywort juice mixed with tiny yellow beans. The service is alright. The owner is a very nice lady. It's a tiny restaurant with simple interior decoration. If anyone would like to try Bun Rieu in the Houston, TX area, I would highly recommend this restaurant. I came back today on 05/09/2025 to eat their bún riêu again.
