Sabaidee Lao & Thai Street Food - Addison

Food: The Khao Soy was decent. We ordered the combo, which came with beef, chicken, and shrimp, making for a hearty bowl. But my fave was the Khao Piek Sen--the broth was flavorful, and the pork belly it was paired with was well seasoned, with a nice crisp to it. First time having Lao udon noodle soup, and it was a nice first impression. Service: No complaints. Came on a Monday afternoon, with virtually no wait, so food came out soon after we ordered. Ambiance: Casual, urban. Parking: Ample parking. Located in a plaza.

This place is phenomenal. Don't plan on eating in tbh but if you have an option to do take out, do it. The portions are pretty big. We are two big ol fat guys and we usually have leftovers for another full meal if we order 3 entrees between the two of us (which comes out to like $40 and changeish?). I imagine skinny minnys could stretch that even further. We like the curry fried rice, it has the right amount of smokyness and the tomatoes never have that weird raw taste. I didnt think id be into tomato in fried rice but its worth. Padthai is good, pad see few was fine. Nothing astounding, just exactly what you imagine when you think about them. The real winner though is the Laos Curry Noodle. Oh my god. Thick luxurious buttery sauce, tons of veggies to make me feel like im not just drinking a quart of gravy. The real shock I didnt think id be into is these little dehydrated chicken skin pieces. They have a crazy texture when rehydrated in the sauce and its so flavorful and lovely. Highly reccomend. The Laos offerings are generally better than the Thai stuff.

This is a really solid neighborhood Thai spot that does the classics well. We ordered the Pad Kee Mao and Pad See Ew, mild and spicy respectively, and both were exactly what they should be. The spice levels were appropriate and really enjoyable. The food came out very fast and tasted fresh across the board. We also had the spring rolls as an appetizer, and they were fried perfectly and a great start to the meal. It’s a simple counter service setup with a few tables inside. The restaurant is impeccably clean and very comfortable to dine in. The music was good, and it made for a relaxed experience at a quiet table. That said, it feels like they do a strong takeout business, and I would not hesitate to order it to go. The menu covers all the classic Thai staples, and pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portion size. Overall, this is a great local spot that delivers exactly what you want from a Thai restaurant. I would highly recommend stopping in, and I’ll definitely be back.

The food here was excellent! This is the perfect spot to grab a bite, especially since it's right by the airport and super convenient if you're on your way to Tyler. Will definitely stop by again!

The lunch combo was a great deal - you can have one entree, a drink (Thai iced tea, iced coffee or soda), and three potstickers for only $16.99. We had spice level 3 for both the drunken noodles and the Penang curry. It felt just the right level. You could feel the spice but not too spicy that you couldn’t enjoy it. The food was served very quickly. This place feels like it takes more takeout orders, so the dine-in experience was pleasant- not noisy or crowded. It played jazz pop music during our meal and had a good vibe.
