For fresh produce, pantry goods, deli offerings, bakery items, and the self-serve wing bar, Safeway remains a recognizable grocery option in Daly City, CA.

Solid Safeway, not too many things locked up which was nice, but most importantly there is a self serve mini hot wing bar. Incredible. It seems to run from like 10am to 5pm, couldn't see any hours listed, but it was so dope to be able to fill up a box or two of wings without waiting for counter service then go grab a drink and hit self check out. They had crispy hot wings, barbecue, and plain, possibly a more Korean style barbecue wing as well. So lovely. The Wells Fargo branch ATMs where convenient as well. Also saw one of the last still running pokemon vending machines I've seen there too (it was empty at the time and shut off a few days later).

Great shopping experience. Has everything and they have good flow here. Staff is always super sweet, helpful, and understanding if you're having card issues. It's unfortunate to see prices seemingly rising constantly, but prices are still cheaper than Lucky's. They have an awesome deli and bakery. Things are easy to find. Even when there are a billion people I've never had to wait long to checkout. AWESOME! Westlake Trader Joes and Safeway are the best places to shop.

I bought a chicken pot pie from this Safeway location at Westlake but unfortunately, it seemed like it had been sitting on the shelf too long. The pie and chicken were very dry and didn’t taste fresh at all. I’m disappointed because I expected better quality. Waste of money. Please check your stock to ensure items are fresh for customers. I’ve attached pictures to show the condition of the product.

The bakery does a pretty awful job with the special ordered cakes. I ordered a birthday cake online and came to pick it up two days later. The pictures are of the cake I picked up and what it was supposed to look like. I told the baker it looked terrible and she basically like just stared at me. I had no choice because of the cake being the only princess themed cake I could order that day. Mind you it was $40 definitely go to a real bakery.
