Saigon Cafe is a Vietnamese restaurant in Pineville, North Carolina, at 10500 Centrum Pkwy, Pineville, NC 28134. It is a local option for guests looking for Vietnamese noodle soups, sandwiches, and other familiar comfort-food choices in the Charlotte area. Customer reviews mention visiting Saigon Cafe at Alley 51, an Asian food hall, and describe a clean spot with a wide menu and friendly staff. The setting may suit a quick meal while exploring the food hall, as well as a casual lunch or dinner with family or friends. Saigon Cafe has a 4.4-star rating based on 38 reviews, offering visitors a useful snapshot of other diners’ experiences while leaving room to choose what sounds best to them.

Pho is one of the dishes customers bring up most often. Reviewers mention beef eye round pho and combination pho, and one diner says the broth was good, though the meatballs tasted bland. Experiences with portions and ingredients are not uniform: a customer who ordered combination pho reported receiving less meat than expected and no tripe. That feedback is a reminder to check what comes in a particular bowl if specific ingredients or serving expectations matter to you. For guests who enjoy a warm noodle soup, pho is a clear part of Saigon Cafe’s menu, but individual preferences and experiences can vary.

There are also appealing choices beyond pho. Customers mention lemongrass grilled chicken banh mi, rice noodle beef stir-fry, and spicy beef and pork noodle soup. One reviewer particularly enjoyed the beef stir-fry, describing it as fresh and flavorful. Another liked the flavor of the spicy beef and pork noodle soup, while noting that it was milder than expected; chili oil was served on the side, so diners can adjust the heat. These reviews point to options for people who want a sandwich, a stir-fried noodle dish, or a soup with a different flavor profile. They also suggest that guests who are unsure what to order can look beyond the familiar pho choices.

Saigon Cafe may work well for diners seeking a relaxed Vietnamese meal, a convenient stop at Alley 51, or a menu with several kinds of noodles and proteins to choose from. Reviews praise the friendly staff and clean setting, while some diners feel the prices are high for the portions or ingredients they received. Consider those mixed perspectives when deciding what to order, especially if portion size is a priority. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For Vietnamese food in Pineville, Saigon Cafe offers pho and other customer-mentioned favorites in a casual food-hall setting.

I ordered a combination pho which supposed to have a combination of meats including tripe. The bowl was full of pasta with very little meat and no one piece of tripe. Paid $20 for the bowl. This is not for first time I ordered from this place. First time I was disappointed as well, but I said to give them one more chance. I’m not going to order from this place anymore. A total disappointed!!

Overall Score: 5.4/10 Clean spot with a wide menu and friendly staff. Prices felt a bit high for what you get, but it makes more sense given the location. Sides coming in small baggies was a nice touch. Pho 5.4/10 Broth was good, but the meatballs were a bit bland. Overall okay, nothing standout.

There’s obviously so many options to choose from at Alley 51 but this was my first time and it will be hard not to go back to Saigon! The rice noodle beef stir fry was 10/10, so fresh and flavorful!

My first trip to Alley 51 Food Court and choosing Saigon Cafe was a win! I wanted something different from the usual Pho, and chose the Spicy Beef and Pork Noodle Soup. It is not very spicy at all, but the flavor is excellent, exactly what I wanted. It comes with chili oil on the side and a baggie of pho toppings: bamboo shoots, herbs, and lime. It comes with a variety of pork and beef meats, some of which may not be appetizing to all customers. I wasn't in the mood for a lot of meat, and they were more than happy to omit the ones I didn't want. The brisket was tasty and not fatty. There were a lot of noodles, more than I needed. Next time I'll ask them to include less if possible. The price was perfectly reasonable for such a quality soup. I also had the shrimp summer rolls and they were delicious, along with the sauce. Seating was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Plenty of parking when I was there for lunch on a weekday. Will be back!
