I was really surprised when I looked at Google reviews and saw the 3.7 rating for this place. As I read through the reviews it was obvious the low score was due to service, not the food. Apparently some people feel like the counter lady is rude. Sadly this is a turn off to some people but for me it's all about the food baby! So I went in feeling like I was in that Seinfeld episode with the soup nazi, lol 😆 I ordered the BBQ pork Bahn Mi and I'm here to tell you it was top of the market. When I ordered she asked me how many I want and when I said one she just stared at me and asked again, how many do you want? So again I reply, one. As it turns out if you order 3 you get a 4th one free and that is a popular thing to do here. So I survived the ordering process without to much confusion. At only $5 for a righteous fresh made Bahn Mi is without a doubt the best deal in town! I also ordered a fresh crushed sugar chain drink with lime, this stuff is good and very good for you. Ignore the low Google score and check out this excellent Vietnamese sandwich shop. Please 🙏 try not to be too thin- skinned when you come here , and yeah maybe sometimes the staff might be a short with you, so get over it and treat yourself to a yummy meal. By the way they are geared towards take out so they only have a couple of tables.

Banh mi is rly good and so are prices esp if you do the buy 3 deal! Take it from me who is from Houston (full of great Viet restaurants and I grew up eating Banh mi) and I've come back here multiple times and my friends also like it! Service is what you'd expect at a Vietnamese restaurant so I wouldn't take it personally. I was trying to find a place that did good meatball/xiu mai banh mis and this place did hit. I've also had their dac biet/combo which was also good. They also do 1 liter bottles of sugar cane juice/nuoc mia and vietnamese iced coffee which I thought was cool. We had the sugar cane juice and it was really good!

They premade the sandwiches and left it on the counter which was unusual for me so when I went to order, they grabbed some sandwiches off the counter and bagged my order up when I normally do the veggies on the side. I tried to look past it, but the bread was stale and the butter spread was room temperature. The Garland location was much better.

The sandwiches from here are so good! It is definitely a take out place. They always have great deals, and the sandwiches are so cheap! It is buy 3 sandwiches, get one free! I paid $17 for 4 sandwiches! I got the combo, fried fish cake and fried egg! They were all delicious! Service is pretty quick!

2025 and guess what their sandwiches are still $5.00!! Pair this with their coconut juice it’s chef’s kiss 😘. I loved how their bread is warm and has a crusty buttery glaze and all the stuff inside super fresh and crunchy. There is a cultural thing happening here where ppl complain about the order lady and honestly I feel it’s just a cultural thing. She’s not intentionally rude. She’s actually nice. We’re all different.
