Saigon Deli is a Vietnamese restaurant in Los Angeles, CA located at 832 N Broadway in Chinatown, making it an easy stop for locals, downtown workers, and visitors exploring the neighborhood. Open daily from 11:00 to 17:00, this casual spot is best known for quick Vietnamese bites and drinks rather than a formal sit-down experience. For people searching for a simple daytime option in central Los Angeles, Saigon Deli stands out as one of those hole-in-the-wall places that regulars tend to remember for a few specific favorites.

Among the items that come up most often, banh mi and sugarcane juice are the signatures people associate with Saigon Deli. Customers mention the banh mi sandwiches as a budget-friendly pick, with prices noted in the review range of about $4 to $6, making them appealing for an affordable lunch in Los Angeles. The fresh-pressed sugarcane juice also draws attention, especially for those who enjoy seeing sugarcane juiced on the spot, something that is not as common as it once was in Los Angeles, CA. Fruit smoothies, including mango strawberry, are another option that has earned positive comments from customers looking for a quick drink stop.

The atmosphere at Saigon Deli is best described as modest and fast-paced. This is the kind of neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant that works well when you want to grab something quickly while walking through Chinatown rather than settle in for a long meal. Based on customer feedback, it may be a fit for diners who appreciate no-frills local spots and are mainly coming for drinks like sugarcane juice or smoothies, or for a straightforward banh mi. The daily daytime hours also make it a practical choice for lunch breaks, afternoon refreshments, or a quick snack while spending time around North Broadway.

Reviews suggest a mixed but specific reputation. Some customers praise the freshness and taste of the sugarcane juice, the value of the banh mi, and the convenience of finding a quick smoothie place nearby. Others raise concerns about cleanliness, pricing consistency, and the preparation style of the sugarcane juice, particularly whether citrus is added. Taken together, Saigon Deli is a place people usually visit with a clear idea of what they want: a fast Vietnamese sandwich, a refreshing drink, or a casual stop in Chinatown.

For anyone browsing for a Vietnamese restaurant in Los Angeles with quick service items and a local Chinatown address, Saigon Deli offers a simple, daytime option with recognizable favorites. If your priorities are banh mi, smoothies, or fresh sugarcane juice in Los Angeles, CA, this small storefront may be worth considering, especially if you enjoy unfussy neighborhood spots with a distinctly local feel.

Visited the outside kiosk. $8 for a cup. Wanted the advertised fresh sugarcane juice however my partner noticed they add oranges/ citrus when they think you’re not looking. So essentially not only sugarcane but a mix. More than likely they probably use old sugarcane. The citrus portion overpowered the sugarcane. Overall did not enjoy.

Stopped here while walking through chinatown. The sugarcane juice sign caught my eye. There’s something about freshly juiced sugarcane that’s really special. At Saigon Deli im not sure if its the type of cane they use, the machine or the age of the cane itself but this has to be some of the tastiest cane juice that I’ve had anywhere in the world. Its not cheap, but how often will you come across this, its worth it.

Place is mad dirty but I was nearby so gave it a shot thinking I’m only getting a sugarcane juice. He charged me $10 since I asked for less ice. It shows on the wall that it’s only $6 for a small for less ice but I didn’t bother arguing with him. There’s flies everywhere. A MUCH bigger and nicer store environment place - Vitacane cost about $8 for a bigger cup and cleaner. I would never come back here

Only real ones know..... this place has such good banh mi sandwiches for $4-6 and the sugarcane juice!! 👌 Hard to find places in LA that juice sugarcane right on the spot for you, so fresh! And a joke to add: if you've ever ate at this spot before, you don't have to worry about what's in the covid vaccine 😂😂😂 just kidding I love them I'm not very stuck up when it comes to "environment" trust me.... the food speaks for itself and I haven't managed to get sick yet LOL
